Ariel gets nervous around sidhe she doesn't know, but the Gwydion sings and Ariel forgets that she doesn't know her. Satyrs.

"Lovely," Bevera says with approval once it is done. "I thought you might like that, young countess"

"He's sleeping when he should be ringing. Silly Friar."

"It's about a priest?" Ariel says "I neever knew"

"Sure - Friar Jack, Friar Jack, Are you sleeping?"

"Ring the bells for matins - matins are, like, afternoon prayers?"

"I believe so" A nod from the troubadour.

"And long ago, the bells would be how everybody told time. They didn't have clocks."

"I sort of picture him picking up his robes and RUNNING to go ring the bell."

"Sounds like Spencer when he spent all night practicing and forgot he had morning chores with the cow" Ariel says "you GOT to milk the cows every day"

"I like cows. They're so big!"

"Do they have donkeys on the farm?"

"No donkeys, some horses.. fae steeds and..." Suddenluy Ariel looks at Bevera with alarm

"The farmhold is an ally of Fenix ,and I serve the Countess of Reiniacance, Ariel. I understand if you would like me to depart though. But know I will not betray the trust you show." She rises "Should I go?"

"would..would you be hurt if I asked you to?" Ariel says not sure why this is confusing.

"Not in the slightest. It's not about what you think of me. It's about what you have told others you will keep deer." The Troubadour bows to Ellie, smiles at Ariel, and walks off

Ariel bites her lip and watches the Gwydion leave. "She's not acting like I was told Gwydion sidhe act"

"How were you told they act?"

"That they see into your soul and you can't lie, but they also are angry all the tiem and if you say anything that hurts their pride, even if it's true, they EXPLODE into sidhe rage and slash and kill and hack and hurt until nothing is left alive ...then they wipe their blade on a kerchief and have a glass of wine"

"Gwydion do have a temper..."

"so it's true" worried look

"That's their curse, like how Dougal have a physical disability, or how Fiona are reckless."

"If they lose their temper, they can't stop themselves? Yes. But most of them try very hard not to lose their temper."

"Like - satyrs, sometimes, they can't stop their emotions either."

"And sluagh can't shout."

"I don't KILL everbody if you hurt my feelings" slightly offended

"It's not just hurt feelings, though - it's insulting their honor."

"So, like, saying they're ugly might make them mad... but, like, calling them a liar or a coward? That's... more?"

"I..think I see" she says "You have to insult their deeds?"

"Their character, yeah."

"Well, gosh.. they're thin skinned Why do they get to rule?"

"Because Gwydion are also brave, and honorable, and valorous?"

"Oh. I guess." She seems unsure "I think I like your house better still though"

"Not everyone does." She shrugs.

"Well, you sure beat the Balor. ICK"

"See, that's a bad house." Funny - Ellie is still wearing Fireheart.

Ariel wishes she was as smart as Salma. Salma would have caught that "Why are you still wearing your sword?" She herself put her bow and arrows back when told they were safe and the bad guys caught.

"In case there's trouble."

"I don't like the idea of you fighting if trouble comes" Ariel ssays then says "I'm sorry, I don't want you hurt."
