"You know, I think guys are more hung up on that than most girls are..." She shakes her head "I mean, not going to say it doesn't matter for girls, but you'd be surprised how many are NOT hoping for something you'd find in the X rated wing of Ripley's believe it or not." A chuckle "I wonder if I should help him out later? ease those insecurities?"

"Up to you." Adam answers easily.

"Thanks. I just..well, I ..we have a bond and I don't want to make you feel like I just.. ah. I don't know. I miss you. How have things been?"

"Been focusing on getting better at combat. I want to be able to defend myself, you know, and a lot of Fae stuff seems to depend on fighting. And trying to learn more about court and stuff from books. And Sir Vali is teaching me some."

"Hey, sounds right up your bloodline" she says "not that that's everything"

"Yeah. Might as well make the most of it, I figure."

"Are you hoping for a position at a different hold?"

He's quiet for a bit as he drives. "Haven't got that far yet."

"Not that far as in.. not sure you want that, or you DO want it but still need more training?" she says

"Both I guess. Not sure if that's what I want, and if it is, I definitely need more training."

Adam parks in a handy spot to the woods and grabs his food. "This good?"

"Sure" She flitters out when he opens the window "And I get you, better to learn some skills just in case. And not like it won't help. If nothing else you could do more body guarding on diplomatic missions. Maybe travel while still calling the Lodge home base"

"Maybe." He agrees, and carries his dinner and backpack along with them. "Did you have anywhere in mind, or just... walk and wander?"

"Honestly? Just walk and wander and spend time together. You know, like..friends" SHe admits "Up to you where we go. I'm here for the company"

"Ok. Let's get hidden, at least, and I'll eat, then we can walk." And he moves past the tree line.

And soon they're there. It's .. nice.. the seasons are such that he's not freezing in the dark or even chilled

He finds a log and stops to eat. "What about you? What've you been up to? I mean, if you can say."

"Oh GOSH yes I can say... I've been making amends to yhour folks for that whole unseelie incident... and I've stoked the fires on Eden and Tikki... HELLO primal urges. I'm match making..isn't that neat? It's weird.. doesn't fill me like raw lust, but it's .. it's a way to hone MY skills. I do not want Kerri whamming me with the frying pan of Romantic demands"

"With the... what?" Adam chews, swallows. It's only half-warm but he's hungry and it's food. Of a sort.

"You don't feel it ? I.. oh.. no you couldn't. She's not Chimera, but s..somehow, she's tied strongly to romance.. it's like a near direct conduit. I don't understand it. I don't want to piss off the Chief OR Mountain, but I will not work directly against the Hearth ..she is..." A bite of her lip "I think I'm an impressive bonfire.. get the party heated. She.. I don't know if she could put me out, or somehow yoke me.... but I feel her ties to the primordial ideals and I am NOT getting on her bad side lightly.. or at all if I can help it. I can't explain. Imagine being a great arm wrestler... and then someone throws you against a black belt in Jujitisu?"

"Mrs. -Davidson-???" For clarity.

"Missus Kerri 'I will bend you if you break a heart in my presence' Davidson, Dame, Hearth, and tied to something.. I did not think non Chimera could be tied to. Specially not a troll. Damn skippy yes her" Nab says

Adam gapes. "Sylvi's mom, right?"

"Is there another Hearth Kerri I'm missing?"

"No, just.... really?" He takes another bite. "Wuf... ok." Muffled.

"She's not out to get me or anything, I'm just saying out of the big three, she's the one I tread most lightly around"

He swallows. "Ok. I mean... if you need protection or something......"

"Sweet of you, like a bob cat charging a T rex, but sweet" she smiles.. "Oo.. what's that?" She turns "Glamour?"

He felt it too

"Let's go check it out..." She flies closer
