Adam stuffs the rest of his food in his pack, grabs his mace out, and follows, yes.

The woods have... two figures, fighting... one a man who seems odd, not quite. .he's not kithin, bronzed skin hair like flames... his sword does burn! And then there is a satyress woman with a wild grin and armor made of chimerical animal skins with a spear.

"The lamp will not be yours, Ebora," The flaming man says, "You've killed your way to it for nothing."

"Fuck you, Goldy" The Satyresssneers "Those wishes are mine"

"Nab, wait." Adam whisper/calls.

"Right here with you" Nab says , and she has indeed fluttered back as the satyress curses out the burning man

Adam watches; his impulse is to go to the satyress's aid but at the same time, it might make her mad.....

They seem pretty well balanced, both good fighters, both brutal! And the brass lamp at their feet a prize for them to war over

"No, they will help MY cause, not yours , butcheress" The flaming man says and lets loose a gout of flame from his mouth.. only to have it hit an ice wall she erects rapidly...

the result is steam

lots of steam

"Damn....." Adam mutters as his view is obscured.

Nab whispers "Now's your chance to grab the lamp"

"What? No, Nab.... I can't fight them. And they'd come after it, wouldn't they?"

"Who says fight them?" She asks

Well, the steam is about to clear along with his chances

Adam struggles with himself, then darts out to grab the lamp.

Adam took a bit too long, both spot him even through the steam as it has cleared... "You little shit! I'm going to stick this spear up your ass and wiggle!" Ebora the satyress declares! He can see she is cut along her shoulders...cut and burned. THe Fire guy has a nasty wound on his thigh

"Oh shit." He grabs for the prize, quick.

He's not happy either "One of the mortals here? No, the fire empire must rise ...."

"Fire empire, you must be kidding....."

Fortunately for Adam... as the satyress tries to spear him...the fire guy lashes at her, forcing her to redirect.. they still fight

And Adam? Adam has the lamp

Adam RUNS.

And Nab runs with him

(or flies)

"Death has kissed beneath my legs, as a lover for breath has often begged! " The satyress says "Now mortal face your demise... the only pleasure for me.. hey, surprise!"

and she hurls a bolt of.. something... it's almost like movie magic.. the rays of light one sees wizards zing at each other...

Adam, running, knows better than to look behind, but that means he doesn't get the visual.

and Nabuni, flying indeed, gasps "Holly strike" and enters Adam's body! For a moement he's running faster, then.. PAIN... immense pain

He grunts in agony, stumbles, and tumbles to the ground. His backpack gets slammed (squashed Doublemeat) and his grip on the mace is rattled.

but he holds on... and there's a scream of fury

He's.. bleeding a little... but surprisingly only a little

Maybe he took the Holly Strike, maybe he tripped on a root, but he scrambles to get to his feet and keep running. "Nab, ok??" he asks as he does.

Inside of him "HUrts

"Nab??" He still speaks aloud even as he takes off. "What's wrong? You ok?"

Just use the extra speed I got you as always, when possessed, he feels like his physical attributes are olympic..and that satyress and fireguy have a real battle going on still. They get away, for he knows the woods not as well as some, but better than he did

Panting, when he can, he stops to figure out where he is; if he could think about it, he'd have headed back to his car but maybe in his effort to escape he didn't think?

He did not.

He ran to areas he knew he could hide, but that did not line up with the car.

And she slides out...

"Hey, no, where...." he turns to see/catch her.

She's a mess... the wounds of hte holly strike... she took the brunt of it

"Nab....." he breathes.

He cradles her and stands, looking for a landmark or a way out of the woods.

"Got the lamp?"

"Yeah, here." He lifts his free arm.

"Yay.." She says weakly "Victory. YOu think there's a... real genie in there? Has to be right?"
