Coming out of the Dreaming....Adam feels disoriented but good. He's not sure, but he thinks.. he thinks he had sex on the trods. Would that make him a member of the Silver Mile club or something?

Piper knows somethings for SURE. being jeest a little less banal

Piper has her fingers carefully twined with Adam's, holding his hand. She's didn't let go at all on the trip - at least, that's what she had planned. At least, she's pretty sure that they maintained some skin-to-skin contact at all times...

They might be wearing each other's underwear, they'll have to check later.

Murrary greets them, well, growls at them, "Yeah?"

Adam is grinning as they walk, but it fades at the sight of Murray.

"You have business with the farm?" He asks

She steps forward, still holding one of Adam's hands, letting her arm trail behind her. A small bow to Murray, trying to remember if she met him on her earlier visit. "We'd like to speak with Mountain Emmit, please. This is regarding his student."

A grunt and a nod to towards a cabin, "He's in there. "

"Thank you!" A perky grin, and she steps that way, towing Adam along if he'll come.

Murray watches them both go by with a humph

And they come to the cabin and smell incense and hear humming... (Which Piper might recognize as the tune of 'Days' by the Kinks) , there's a sound of movement

She sniffs the air appreciatively, and reaches forward to give the door a little knock.

Unconsciously nodding along to the music.

The door opens, and they see the Mountain actually over a cauldron, definitely one with a celtic vibe, as if Dagda had a spare.. the thing is immense... the mountain stirs it with the small branch of some tree

Adam might seem oddly quiet, but he keeps hold of Paper's hand.

"Can I help you two?" The big man says turning.

Adam looks to Piper.

She gives his hand a little squeeze. "You must be Emmit. Uh. Mr. Emmit. I'm sorry, if there's a title that I should use for Mountain, I'm not sure about what it should be. Oh, I'm Piper McCormick, Zane's cousin. And this is my boyfriend, Adam Thomas."

"Or rather, this is Adam Thomas, Kinain and Thane of Rivervale, Defeater of the Lindnorm and Protector of the Lodge."

A small grin.

A cocky grin.

"Mountain kind of his the title, but seeing as it's just you two and I, Emmit's fine." A look over at Adam, "Oh, so you're the one who took care of that Lindnorm. If I'd known about it I would have sent some of our Kinain to help, but seems you didn't need it. I've heard a little about you, Adam. Quite a stir you've made." and a glance to Piper "Heard of you too. Interteresting companion" And he holds out his hand and JImmeny sits on it as if complied "No, not quite a companion, more like.. mmm" He blows and it takes flight again, "WHat can I do for you two?"

She pauses a moment as he examines her chimera, and Adam feels her hand tensing in his. But then it flutters away, and she seems to relax again. "It's about Zane. We seem to have, uh, lost him."

"Yep. Boy's got himself plum riled. I talked to his father, he's worried too. You're good kin to be looking in on him, Piper. And Adam, I see you're a good friend to him. Don't worry I've got it in hand."

"So you know where he is?" Concern evident. "He disappeared, ghosted his family - even Auntie M who stayed out of THAT fight, and said some things about leaving the county..."

Emmit says "Three have begun a journey, and they must see it through. Two brothers of Chance and Winter must mend the tear- and a call to prove his power was asked by Zane, and Da'an has answered. Now, they wander on a quest they did not see themselves taking. I am.. observing."

"I'm worried that he's gonna get himself in trouble. And not just because he SAID he's gonna go get into some trouble..."

She blinks at this speech. "Uh. Two brothers... of chance and winter?" But a small nod. "Well, if he's on a quest, that's all well and good. I thought he was gonna go do something stupid." As if those two are mutually exclusive...

Emmit looks amused, "yes" for being older he knows they're not always

"Is it okay if I tell Uncle C - sorry, Professor Wayburton - that Zane's on a quest? If it's not some big secret humdinger? I think it would help them stop freaking out about where he is."

"Tell him I'm doing what I can to make sure it goes smooth. Wilders get huffy if they find out you're prying fortune for them to soften their falls. Got one student who would raise a powerful fuss if she knew some of the things I did for her. Nevermind that she's meddled on my behalf before"

"Wilders get huffy if you breath the wrong way. ESPECIALLY Satyrs." She gives the old man a grin. "And Powerful Fuss sounds like what Zane is going for, alright." Looking thoughtful, she repeats what he said. And then adjusting the cadence a little to help set to memory... "To mend the tear, through hope and fear, two brothers of winter and chance. A call to power, this final hour, Da'an has called the dance...." A hoof taps.

"Okay, I think I can remember that."

"Pretty good memory, young lady. Don't worry, they've got a magic carpet ride, they just don't know I might have a brake ready"

"I hope they have seatbelts. Sudden braking can result in pitching off your ride... and at certain altitudes..." She glances over to Adam. "What do you think?"

"I'll keep it in mind" He says glancing back to the cauldron

She peers towards it curiously as well...

Zane is running, having to slow down so he doesn't lose the other two behind him, but fast enough he loses the ones chasing them all,,,

Adam edges forward with Piper to watch as well.

She squints a bit, trying to make out the other faces.

"It's not my fault she's in trouble," Zane says "But I am the one who can get you to where we need to... LEFT!"

And Emmit blows on the water, and now it just looks like water, clear, they can see to the bottom.

The images gone.

A soft sound of dismay, but then a guilty look. "Sorry for peeking uninvited."

"Are you? Or are you sorry I stopped the show?" Brow "mmph well you'd hardly be the first curious wilder I've encountered. But that peek in on luck nudges and da'an tweaks the less chance it works. Think of it as Schrodinger's crowd... too many folks scare the cat and it wont' show"

A moment's thought, and honestly, "Both. ...is there anything we can do? Or just.. wait? I don't know how to work fate at all. Just... fickle things, that's what I have. I'm like... popcorn, to your Thanksgiving feast." A small smile. "I'm glad you're teaching Zane to cook, though."
