"Ship, it's a ship" Siv will say

as if the difference is important

Brekke occasionally glances back at the others, making sure the entire group is still together, no stragglers left behind.

"What's the difference?"

Vali, for his part, is perhaps the last of the RV crew to leave, he turns to the countess, and whispers "I'm sure Adelaide will give you a full report on our chatter" a wink to the childling then more clearly "Thank you again. In a way, I'm glad you know now of this plan B for Gerd. I know you'd never let harm come to her under your roof and.. I can't tell you how grateful that thought makes me."

The Countess smiles faintly as the group departs and Vali lingers. "She would be welcome."

"See you around, TIffany"//TIffany hugs Vali and whispers something , Vali sighs, nods then heads out to join join the others at the kestrel

By now, Siv is on the deck, and sighing as Dagmar seems determined to take the crow's nest which Is often her spot, but she's being a good sport about it

Siv also explains "Ships go out to the sea, boats don't go into the sea, or a least not far"

"Adelaide, can you make a report?"

Brekke is busy getting the Kestrel ready. "Vali, you are joining us? Good. Will you advise Kerri that all is well and we return now?"

"I will" He texts

"IT'S SO HIGH UP!"

"If you fall I'm going to be annoyed," Jaymes says with surprising calm

A glance up to Dagmar, then to Siv. "Can you secure her up there before we go? She does not have your experience with dancing in the riggings."

For what it's worth, the wilder also has a grin from ear to ear, her wolflike teeth glinting bright against her slate blue complexion.

Adelaide says "They're, not what I expected. I kept them away from the areas that even Sir Vali doesn't know about. Of course I'm sure there are areas I don't know about. I made sure to pass them by the tapestries so that might be of use. Apparently the ship is called the Kestrel and it flies... but more than that... " And she relates

Siv clambers up, and helps tether Dagmar with a safety harnass of sorts "Here we go. IF the worst happens that'll catch you." A pause "Don't get to used to this. I will want this spot back." friendly nudge "But next trip. You have fun for now"

When Siv comes back down, Brekke gives her a grin. "That was very generous of you." A pause. "Do you want to take her up and out?" Nodding towards the prow of the ship.

"I can? Oh yhes" Siv hugs her mother and then takes to the prow "Way up "

"Maybe we can share? Oh well..."

ANchor pulled in, ship untethered, Frank veils the ship, and off they go! THis time avoiding the chimerical fireworks and the MEG... it will take longer but it's a grand trip!

Brekke steps back to man the tiller if needed, and shares a look with Frank.

He still looks grim. "How bad do you think that went?"

A deep breath. "It could have gone far worse. But...I will tell you what the Countess said. Later."

Dag tolerates the harness - easy to forget from the heights of the nest! She shouts down to Jaymes or Siv when she spots a dolphin, or a flock of birds, or a particuarly cool cloud formation.

Frank frowns, but just nods.

And Vali glances over, clearly tempted to talk to the chieftain, but no, not less. Best to enjoy the journey. Dagmar's joy, Siv taking to the wheel as if born to it. His eyes drift over the sea where there once was a small island of childlings a dream he can never return to. ANd he wonders about Small Anne.
