"Go ask Sally Mae if she'll help"

Olgar says

"...Oh." Purple. "I'll get it. Sorry."

"It's okay," Gerd says noting her look, "You didn't mean to. And Mister Olgar used to be messier"

"How would you know? You weren't even around then, Shoo" Olgar sends her off

Still... she wipes at the mud, frowning.

Sally mae comes out as "Oh my you two, Come with me, Dagmar. You hit the shower, I'll clean these up"

"I think I'm just spreading mud around..."

"Maybe, but nothing I can't handle," the Kinian woman says. Not blue, but blue tinged , she's quite pretty, and sees totally at ease with trolls.

A sheepish nod. "Kay." A beat. "Sorry."

"Thanks, but it really is okay. Busy day, things get forgotten with no malice in it. Back on the farm, the boys had to get a tongue lashing to remember and they didn't have a flood to deal with just chores." Sally Mae leaves her to change out and use the shower, she'l lcome in while the young woman is behind the curtain, and gather her clothes up.

After a long, hard day a hot shower is nice. As adrenaline fades, it is replaced with sore muscles and fatigue, but a good kind of both. And oh, a complaining stomach!

She also feels... something akin to glamour, no, it IS glamour, and not from the hearth, it..it came when she helped with the car mostly.

She touches her stomach, above her belly button - puzzled by the sensation. It's new, but... warm, yes. And nice. She feels strong and happy.

She gets the urge to sing that song from thor ,too bad she only knows the refrain

She pokes her head out around the curtain - looking for clothing or a robe.

A robe awaits, quite large, but then it would have to be, but it will go down to even her ankles

She bundles up with a happy sigh. She is now clean, warm and dry. Barefoot, the teenager emerges from the steam-filled bathroom.

Things are already cleaned, and Sally Mae smiles, "your clothes are in the wash, shouldn't be long. I understand you're hungry enough and for good reason. I'm not as good as Hearth Kerri, but I hope you like country fried steak? I made some."

"I like everything." A pause. "Even when I'm not starving."

"Gotcha, quantity wins over quality" A wink, and soon, she is treated to coutry fried steak, corn on the cob (Buttered) and a baked potato with fixings as she likes.

Dagmar curls up in the chair and tucks into the meal. A "S'good" is muffled between bites.

"Glad you like" She smiles, "You earned it."

Olgar comes down, "Music to go with dinner" He sets a CD player and CD down, "Tove tells me you like it. YOu good with eating along and some music?"

"Sure?"

...her table manners are best described as "not." Elbows on the table, licking butter from her fingers, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand...

That's when... the song comes on, maybe it's the first track, maybe it was set that way ... but "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiaaaaa!"

She stops, cracking into a grin. "It's a GOOD song."

"It is classic." He says

"It's loud."

"Some music is meant to be loud" He nods

"I like loud..."

"Heh" He dines "Not surprised."

Other songs play, all by Led Zepplin. They vary, and the Immigrant song may remain her favorite, but there's some good stuff period

She polishes off her food quickly enough, but she stays to listen to the music. Quite a few make her grin.

"Look, you got a CD player at home somewhere you can use?"

"Um. There's one downstairs... "

"Mmm tell you what, take that old thing to borrow, and a few CDs. there are five CDs. When you're done,.. pick your favorite two and keep them." He nods, "Consider it Rivervale's thanks for your hard work." A glance, "And... I think that's yours." He gestures to a shelf.

She follows the gesture with her eyes, looking at the shelf.

There's a wooden badger, RESTORED. NO crack. "Chieftain knows wood. Also great at heatherbalming. usually it heals flesh but.. there you go."

She freezes up - looking guilty and ashamed.

"Kid, it's not just wood that gets mended," He says finishing off his plate, "We're half human, we're going to screw up. We're half myth. We can screw up big. " A chuckle, "Remind me to tell you about the time I broke a guy's car."

"Didn't mean to. Break everything..."

"You'll get the hang of it eventually. Heck, in those movies, don't those x kids have to train on how to use their powers? That's why the bald guy has it as a school .. hope I'm getting that right"

"Professor X. Yeah. because they get powers, but can't control them right away."

He taps his nose

A glance over. "Bein' a troll is a little like being a mutant, isn't it?"

"Kind of yeah," he says "First year of the change you wonder what the hell is going on, and why everyones' in a panic you learn fast, you feel like you're in a world of cardboard, and you realize size 13 footwear is dainty."

She sticks out a big blue foot, wriggling her toes. "Fee, fi, fo, fum. Yup."

"ha. You ask me, Jack was just a burglar with good PR. but yeah."
