Tove blinks, ,"Good lord, you're just piling them on" As Dagmar throws about sandbags with casual ease that's even impressive to other trolls

"Just make sure they are well placed too." Tove's father, Torrad says, "Won't do much good if they aren't balanced eh?"

Not far away, Olgar motions to folks to take a trod, "This way, you'll find more Knights of the Way on the path."

"Yuh-huh..." A grunt, and she checks her work.

"She's doing grand, father, just grand" Tove says fondly.

She's soaked - her faded hoodie rendering itself as a cloak to fae eyes, the cowl casting her face into shadow. Broad shoulders, strong jaw, big hands... mortals might well guess she's a boy.

Something runs past, "Message for you, Sir Olgar" And she sees it's Zane, handing a scroll to Olgar.

"I work for a living , kid." He takes the scroll opens it, "oh dandy."

"Okay, this your last message?"

"Unless you have something for me?" Zane offers.

"Nope. Help them withh sandbagging. I'll be back as soon as I can," He looks to Tove, and Torrad, "Keep an eye on them will ya?"

"Will do, Rover" Tove says

Head down. Work hard. No need to talk.

Zane however, is a chatter, he can't lift as much as she can, not by half, but he works tirelessly, "I hear it's actually worse for us than some mortals because the dreams of the flood made chimera."

Zane can chatter. Hey, she keeps quiet, he might not even realize it's her. She takes and armful of sandbags, rather than just one, and uses her long stride to spread out further along the impromptu dam.

"Nice work, Dagmar" Yup. He knows it's her.

A grunt from beneath the hood, no eye contact. Work hard. Head down.

He works quietly himself for about ...two minutes, and while he keeps working, he finally says "You mad at me or something?"

She stops, shooting him an incredulous look.

He blinks, he doesn't appear to be joking

And he also keeps working

Dag isn't - she's staring at him, arms full. "But..."

A confused frown, and she slowly goes back to task.

"But what?" hand sandbag over to her, he grabs a new one... then.. ."Uhm, Bert said you might not be used to satyrs"

"You're the only one I've met." Takes the bag, hefts it up in place.

"Oh...then I probably seem ah..." A sigh and keeps working, as if the tempo helps him find his thoughts "Satyrs are passionate, we're sensitive, sometimes even thin skinned. We're best known for..well in myths for wine women and song, and there's truth to that, but we also FEEL more intently than others, but...and this is just a generalization, we tend to get over it quicker? I guess, it's how we're wired."

"Yeah, well..." grab, heft. "Dunno about my kind. But me, guess you know now."

"So you're still mad?"

A grunt. "No."

"Cool" He works and keeps going

He doesn't seem to tire out, and wile she started earlier than him, it's almost a notch of impressive that he's not really sweating much...not that one can sweat in the rain.

Several silent minutes of work before.... "You ain't mad?"

"Nope. I mean, yeah, acting like my dad doesn't know anything MAD me mad, but that was then? You know? " A pause, "And I'm sorry about that wooden thing."

Tove raises a brow at that

A hiss. "Shut up."

"I don't know your dad. I'm sure he's fine."

He sighs "that doesn't sound like much of an apology on your side"

Quiet again for a few sandbags.

"I'm sorry I yelled."

"Apology accepted and .. uhm I did yell back so.. all's even" He works along, "So, what kind of music do you like?"

"Dunno. Regular stuff, I guess."

"So top forty pop? Top forty rap? ..." A dubious brow "Country?"

"Yeah, radio stuff. I don't know music much."

"oh"He nods, "i'm not that big on country myself. Bertrand says it's because as a yankee I'm probably biased. Maybe." A pause "So.. sports?"

"It sorta blends together, you know? Get called a bitch enough, whatever. Ain't for me. Don't play sports, but gym's okay."

Tove turns, "You don't.. oh my. Pardon me you too, but later, I want to have a talk with Dagmar about music if and when she's got time."
