"He was... he looked after the folkks that were important to him, and if they didn't like that, for get em"

"But Killmonger..." she falters, trying to explain. "How he..."

A frustrated noise, looking down at her hands. "M'Baku was cool, too."

"Killmonger let his past make him so angry he hurt people. He had a sad start, but became part of a problem, you'll be better than Killmonger" Siv says firm nod that looks a bit like her mother

She goes pale beneath the blue, eyes squeezing shut for a moment.

"It was a good movie, dad." She tells her father, "You should see it."

Siv seems to want to give Dagmar another moment to recover from..well whatever it is

A belated echo. "Yeah. Good movie."

"I know it's not as good as a theatre, but Vali says he can set up a DVD slumber party if it's okay with your folks and mine, so I can catch up on the others like Captain America and Thor. and more."

"I'd have to ask my fosters. And they'll want to talk to.... well, I guess your parents."

A look to her dad, "That's true."

"..might be okay, though."

She pats Oak.

"I've been to a slumber party once, when I was eight. Maria Jenkins invited the whole third grade. Well, the girls."

"...it was nice, really."

'yeah?"

"Yeah. We had cake and pizza and milkshakes...." She closes her eyes, color warming, more vibrant as she remembers. "Mrs. Bell got me a sleeping bag just for the party - it had Merida on it, with her bow..."

"Sounds fun." She says

"And new PJs, too, so I was just like everyone else, you know? And I got to keep the sleeping bag even when I left."

"It was mine."

"what happened to it?"

"Um. I threw it away."

Frank clears his throat gently. "Girls, I'm going to step out, see if I can find the Chieftess. Dagmar, you're welcome here if you can manage it with your other fosters." A small smile. "Siv, be good. I'll be back in a bit."

He rises and slips out... as much as a nine-foot tall Mountain can.

"Okay, sir."

She watches her father go.

"Love you dad.." She calls after

Then she turns back, "That was close."

"What was?"

"Well.. uhm, you won't tell?"

"Not a snitch, sure."

Reaching into her pocket, she pulls out a leather wrist band, fancy work.

"I saw that!"

"The important thing is dad didn't see it. he'd wonder how I got it."

"Yeah? Why?"

"Because I got it from a guy" guilty smug mix

"Yeah? He cute?"

"Very" She agrees, "And he gave me this which he made himself so.. points" Siv says "Never had a lad give me a gift."

"It probably means he wants to f-.... t-to... to screw you. You like him?"

"well, what I know o him I did," Siv says "Too soon to say. And really? We haven't een had a first date." A grumble 'not that I'm allowed to date yet. But the point is why be sure that's all he wants?"

"That's what guys want." She shrugs.

"I mean, maybe he wants to be friends, too... but... "

"I think people are different in the Dreaming."

"Oh, they enjoy sex in the dreaming too... or I wouldn't have been here."

"Gak."

She laughs "Sorry, one of my friends used worse language than you do..though I appreciate you toning it down like you did. Shows respect for the lodge."

"This place..." She looks around and sighs. "I want to... I wish... I like coming here."
