"Once i am sained, I won't need anyone" Melia says bravely.

"Yeah, lone wolf is the way to go" Jacob assures the girl

"A wolf, Yacob?"

"A LONE wolf, the coolest kind of wolf" the boy assures "She should be a lone wolf"

"You need to read more Kiping" Tziporah observes

"Art thou a lone wolf, brother-mine?" Amused.

"Nope" he answers quickly "My pack is crowded" A grumble

She watches him, her head tilted.

"I can make another pie."

"No thank you" he says, clearly THIS isn't about the pie

Tziporah eyes him with confusion, then looks at Melia, who has sunk deep into her bundle of layers

"I just wanna get sained?" Melia says feeling overwhelmed "I really don't care where or with who as long as Miss Zara does it"

"My rule is simple enough - no sidhe is to be told I know this art. Aye?"

"Oh yes" Melia nods perking a bit "I shan't tell "

"Good."

"Earth Runes is probably best then," Tziporah says "YOu've got that other guy making all sorts of noise so no one will notice you" A grin there

"Noise?" Melia asks

"Not that kind, hon" Tziporah assures, then says to Zara "Its your call, of course on that and the timing."

"Oh, we have a good understanding, the two of us. And Lily visits often enough."

"Lily?" Melia asks

"A sluagh girl, another childling. Your'e only a little younger than her"

"Oh" Melia perks "I haven't met many sluagh childlings"

"There are many sluagh at Earth Runes."

She perks up "I like that"

And Jacob finishes his soup "All settled then, she'll go to Earth Runes and never be seen in the Duchy of Golden Sigils again" Naming New York state

And before he can be grilled about THAT... the little sneak slips out with a wave

Zara has to look twice, but she knows this house and .. AH HA!

She opens up the spare closet and looks UP in the top shelf

"You're supposed to knock" he says from his squirmed hidey hole

"What is UP with you?"

She plants her hands on her hips, eyes narrowed.

"She needs to go" A grumble

"And she should stay here, or in New York period" He adds

"Jacob, what is going on?"

"This always happens" He says "You were an only kid... that's okay, I'm glad to be here. I love my mom, she's cranky and surly and has opinions but she's great. But you got Vashti.. and Ivory, and they're from Paler... and he was a jerk so it's good they found REAL family. Then Tziporah lost her family and now she's a sister too... but it's getting too much. I don't want her staying here or Hannah and Aaron might adopt her, or even my mama might soften... at least in Eathrunes I won't have to share them with yet another girl"

"Oh, Yacob." Softly.

He looks sullen and miserable "I know. I'm Selfish. I know, this isn't what the Torah teaches. I don't care, it's big, it's big enough"

"Jacob, you are my brother. I am not going to... to adopt Melia, I have no intent. I do wish to see her somewhere safe, because she is a kith-cousin, and a child."
