The visit to Scarsdale is a trip down memory lane every time. So much of Zara's old room is pristine and untouched, if there is something to take from it that hasn't already been taken , it's waiting here. Of course, her room may not be what feels the most like Scarsdale to her in someways

There's a fine china plate from an old set that fell over. Her father and mother replaced it, but one plate survived with a fractured face... rather than throw that away, they gave it to Zara, as it was quite old and chips and cracks are rarely a reason for a sluagh to spurn something.

A raggedy Anne Doll that SOME one added extra limbs too until she almost seems spider like. Zara might have forgotten about this one.

There are things outside her room that weren't hers per se. The knob at the end of a stair railing that has to be tightened now and then. Threads from her Uncle's garish...er DELIGHTFUL upholstery coming undone on one couch. Her father's umbrella that is probably as old as Zara is... to her memory, he rarely ever used it for himself. Instead, he would spread it open to cover his wife, and yes, his daughter in the rain, even if half of him got wet as it was devoted to shielding them. There are school successes still on the fridge, but her mother might fight Zara if Zara tried to take them.

Wait, her secret nook behind the third brick up. It's been violated, her book of early wilder poetry attempts missing!

Tziporah has been spending a LOT more time at Earth Runes, but Eshu are often where you need them so...

well, if she's there, she can't hear even a whisper of outrage 🙂

Well, they CAN in theory, but being willowy and light does make it harder

NO response. ARGH. Her sister is down stairs, how DARE she not hear Zara's fury?! inconsiderate!

For all that she was an only child for the first half of her life, Zara is now fully cognizant of what it means to be a Big Sister.

And that includes being ANNOYED by the younger one.

MUST she MOVE to go deliver her sister's just chastisement? Insult upon injury!

Then there's a knock at the door, but not from her sister. It's a soft knock, and..shorter?

then Jakob's voice "Sis? Are you here?"

"Jacob? Aye."

"Why are you making so much noise?" he says annoyed

"Something is missing."

Was that a snicker?

It was a snicker. Her little brother snickered!

"Ohhhhhh."

"Thou art a dead brother!"

She leaps upon him in a tickle attack!

He tries to squirm away as he is tackled, but she's ready for it...and soon he is snorting laughing against his will. SO undignfied to be driven to laughter "help" he cries out, but no one can hear him

"Doom."

"I sold it ,I sold it" he whispers

"Sold?!?"

"Sold?!?"

"That was a Secret."

"My secret!"

"Then you shouldn't...heheh .. hha have left it where i could.. GIGGLE find it... STOP!"

"You could have blackmailed me, like a proper thief!"

"But she paid me in some really gross stuff!" He laments "I have a snot weaver now, with real fake snot. How could I not?"

"Who, Jacob?"

"What will you pay me for the information?" He says as he recovers his breath. Audacity, thy name is Jacob

She narrows her eyes.

"I may decide to be merciful."

A huff "Mercy AND a headless action figure I can paint black? " He'll get the horse

At least he likes the Headless horseman. The boy isn't completely uncultured

"I hath met the Horseman."

"I could tell you the story."

"You have?" He gasps "Tell tell?"
