"This is what he drank from last" Hannah takes the mug and hands it to her daughter once they are home. "You need anything else, honey?"

Zara shakes her head.

"Ladies, 1122 - look about, nu? Look for aught which may give clue, for that which does not belong..."

Zara herself sniffs the cup.

They scatter...

Hannah winces at the spiders, but nods "Thank you" to them. Zara got her manners from good upbringing after all

It smells of coffee, the blend is fancier than his usual wont

She runs her fingers along the inside, feeling for any residue - anything sticky, or crystalline, or otherwise wrong

what's this? a.. that's not coffee grounds... the consistency is wrong

"There we are...."

She scratches out the residue with a spoon.

Anyone else might have missed it, and Hannah does not have her daughter's senses, but that doesn't stop her mother from looking ashamed

She smears the residue on a piece of paper, forming an ansuz rune - one for vision and communication.

Tizzzy raises upstairs, and then returns putting a bit of dross nearby. A yankee's game ticket with a tear stain on it.

Mets fans know there is power in such

"Speak, treacherous trace. Tell me of how you came to this place."

"I was conveyed by two innocents... at the plan of one who was not. A gifting turned foul"

"Who made the foul plan?"

"Green were the eyes, but Browning was the name"

"Browning?" Hannah gasps "Your father has worked with him before"

An arched brow. "A mortal man?"

"Mortal as the day is long, moral not so much. Again and Again Aaron beat him out, in the field they shared.... Jobs stolen, or so it seemed. So a plot was hatched by one not dreamed. With a contract upon the horizon soon, it best to remove Aaron from the room"

Apparently the whisper thought that was for it

"Who did he have bear you hence?"

"AN innocent who gifted Aaron with no malice intended. "

Hannah whispers "oh dear lord, your father was given a special blend..."

"The question becomes, how far will this Browning go?"

"THat I do not know..." And the cantrip fades

Hannah says "Poor Michael, if he knew he'd been used like that he'd be aghast"

"He was a son of Adam" Earl says ssurprised "I mean, the poisoner. I did not see that coming, but it might explain how he bypassed some wards with his plot"

"He shall not escape all."

Hannah nods "He hurt Aaron. Zara dear? "

"Yes, Mama?"

Hannah's jaw sets "Teach this man a lesson your way. Let us know what you need. I want this man to understand no one does this to a Schwartz. No one."

"I want to help" tziporah says

"Let Tizzy help, but tizzy" hannah says "You follow Zara's orders. "

"I will" Tziporah nods

A slow nod.

Hannah seems to be smoldering... then she says "I'm going to take all the coffee in the house and throw it out so not to take chances and wash all the cups"

"Wise, aye."

And her mother heads off

"I've never seen Hannah so furious" Earl mutters

"My mother is nocker-blooded, and boggan-born."

"And this man hath desecrated her hearth and home."

"Why, she is well near sluagh kin in spirit, when it comes to that."

"Speaking for the Eshu side of things, we don't let go of a sleight lightly" A nod from Tziporah "i want payback too"

Earl nods "I guess I can't cast stones there. Just.. I guess 'beware the quiet ones' indeed fits."

"What's the plan, my love? "

"I am contemplating this."

"I'll get tea" Tziporah says ""Her brain runs on it"
