"oh.. no , THANK YOU" Wrennie says and then withdraws

Once she's gone, Earl says "Saved a spider? You don't think..?"

"Oh, I think. I sent him out to do reconnaissance."

"Sometimes I think we're just side characters in a series of his novels"

"Have you ever heard him hum his own theme song?"

1122? She reaches out, again.

Whatever interferes wit her scrying must be creating some static

Eyes narrow.

Then, there's a clearer signal

Zara? Hello? Can ..hear...?

Zara sends an image of the playground.

It is rare to surprise a sluagh. But Zara realizes that 1122 is near, not like in near enough to communicate, near as in.. someone has carried the spider to within 10 feet of her! Which, for her senses is almost like someone tapping her from behind!

But she spots the boy before he spots her. So it counts as a win for team sluagh

Long dark hair, the 8 year old boy starts as he hears the whisper before he sees the whisperer

1122 crawls out from behind the boy's left ear and waves

"Thank you, for protecting 1122."

"I might be Nelson.. " He says

She raises an eyebrow.

This is nelson! 1122 taps

She extends her hand, providing a landing space for the spider.

"1122" Nelson sighs "You're killing my mysteriousness"

"Well, I am a witch."

1122 hops onto her hand, Did you miss me? you missed me

Earl snorts "of course we missed you"

Earl actually looks a bit embarrassed. Sidhe kids do not normally sneak up on him that well

"I am curious why you required salvation, though I may be grateful for it."

"he was caught in the grinders of the Orrery." Nelson says

Eyebrow.

"Aye. It seems the Orrery has been... altered?"

It has teeth now 1122 warns

A little frown.

Nelson nods "It's being used to alter the wards of the place, particularly against scrying"

"I had noticed, aye."

"And I think it does more" he frowns "But it's a type of magic I don't undersand or know.."

"So - through the Orrery, magics are being cast over the whole freehold?"

"Or even the County..."

"Oh yeah, the Orrery is powerful. See, I'm An Eiluned, we are powerful wizards you know? And it's like an engine.. the nockers and dougals made it so"

Earl raises a brow "I thought the bale fire would be the engine?"

"The Bale is the fuel."

Nelson nods "Yup. And also, for many the Orrery is kind of the symbol of the Hollow. That helps even more. "

"Aye. Tis... sacred, almost."

Nelson whispers "It's making everyone with a title act odd.. no no not odd, really full of themselves like they're OWED stuff"
