"AH, then you are a blank canvas in truth, o artist. Upon which I may paint to please the sponsor" Vashti nods to her sister "Mmm he is already azure, perhaps colors of sable with purpure highlights to offset?"

It is clear the question of preference was not directed to Earl.

"Mmm... perhaps some greys, too? Dove grey and charcoal and slate..."

"Ah, yes.." She looks over Earl circling him. He looks like he's expecting a vulture to swoop. "Yes, charcoal, I like that. If he offends, suitable for the burning."

"Oh, for special occasions, at least?"

"Are you two having fun?" He says at them.

Vasthi smirks, "We've only just begun...and thou knowst you would dress to please for her summer or winter so cease they trollish outrage."

Earl 'the outraged' sighs but a flicker of a lip shows that yes, the idea that he'd please to dress for Zara is dead on. Pooka said or not

"Quite so" Vashti says, then nods primly to Earl , then "I should fly away, a foul jester seeks to capture me and drag me away to a riverboat undermoonlight... the fiend."

"Have fun," Earl says

"Fiendish! Abominable! Have fun, dear one."

and Vasthi withdraws happily.

Earl watches her go, then says "You know, you two having fun at my expense aside- I'm really surprised Shalimar pulls stuff off... a riverboat ride under moonlight? That's one I wish I had thought of."

"Oh, I really do intend to dress you up. I am supporting her business, nu? Like a good sister."

"Okay" He agrees, "Dress me however you want me dressed. I like Vashti, but I'm doing it for you, not her. You support her, I help you support her for you, and then if you like that, then I like that."

"Well... that works. Though she did help me save you, and even were she not kin, I would be indebted for that."

"Wouldn't I be indebted for that?" he runs a finger along zara's hair gently, pulilng it a bit past the ear

"Mmm, mayhaps. But you are precious to me."

"And you to me" He says "Want to sit here quietly so you can eaves drop, or want to go into the storm..." As the noise in the room now has someone saying something about the Yankees being twice the team the Mets are...

"Oh, she DARED!" Dark eyes catch fire. "My own flesh and blood - traitorous!! Come along, Love..." Poor Earl is dragged into the fray!

Earl gulps and braces... cowardly heart never did win fair METS fan
