Driving along in the Augustmobile. His big blue hands on the wheel. Trying to figure out stuborn Sidhe. Who almost undoes himself to get academic degree

August drives a 2009 Prius ... "Zara..." He grins, easy. "I'm not giving up, I'm not going easy. And, I'm sorry. I am, I apologize. I will be more careful, and I will stay with my House for a while."

"But I don't know... maybe teaching? Maybe social work? I know I want to work with groups of people, help them...."

"That's good, aye. A good goal. You would be a good teacher, I think."

He nods, sure of himself.

"But you must find balance. You were cold. Shattered."

"I couldn't see you!" Her whisper cracks from distress.

"And you left the last quest in such a depressed state, we were worried you wawnted that way"

"Zara, I'm sorry." He offers to take her hands. "I'm here now, I'm ok."

To Earl, up front, "I ... was upset."

"I could tell, but you wouln't talk to anyone about it. Coradel even. I know the Baron was harsh but did you think We were blaming you for anything? Dude, we're your friends. We're practically a motley."

She takes his hands, her own cold and clammy.

He warms her hands, or tries; he makes the gestures. "Zara. I'm -ok-. And I am very grateful to you both. I will remember this. I will stay at the... at my House's place in the City until I can meet with my study group tomorrow, and if you want to be there, be welcome! 3 p.m."

"The college library, but I can get you in." A pause. "Both of you."

He follows instructions as he drives. "Have you talked to your family at all? The other Truthbranches I mean?"

"Aye. And finals are this week? Every day?"

"Last day is the 22nd." He responds.

"And Yule. And Christmas. Think you could come to candle lighting tomorrow? "

"A candle light... oh. Ah. Well. What time?"

"Sunset."

"The Uncles will be there, Mama and Papa."

"Ah. Well."

"I'm in study group at 3....."

Zara pulls away, her eyes suddenly quite bright and her mouth pulled into a thin grey line.

"Zara....." Gently.

"You want me there... I'll be there."

Not saying anything but if Zara looks at the mirror she can see him mouthing 'you bet your ass you'll be there'

"No, It's fine."

"Thanks August, we want you there."

She stares at her knees, NOT crying, but her hands are in tangles.

A glance at Zara in the mirror trying to appraise

"Zara. Ah." He offers his hands. "Hanukkah Sameach?"

She allow him to take her hands, and makes an attempt to say something but her words fail in her throat.

Drives and gives Zara look he hopes is supportive and encouraging in the mirror.
