Dagmar finds she has a guest from the nearby nunnehi. One she's seen before, well, all but the face. Dika-Hannah the Pu'gwi knocks on the door of her bedroom and waves when the door is open. A friend to Sylvi, the girl has the withered features of her tribe, and keeps that face concealed.

"Hi, Dame Dagmar. On behalf of the Pu'Gwis, I extend formal greeting."

A slow blink, and she tries a stiff cross-armed salute. "Greetings, Dika-Hannah. I am... glad to receive them?"

"You honor us with your warmth," She returns the gesture, her voice warm itself.

A crooked smile.

"Would you like to continue formally, or do you prefer something more open?" Dika-Hannah asks, "I find sidhe like it formal but Sylvi always seemed to prefer more laid back. WHere as the Chief, that is, Baroness Shacklebreaker was aloof somewhere between."

"I'm not great at formal, really."

"I've gotten better at it," She admits herself, "Part of my job. It can be hard though."

"I should be better at it. Pretty sure that's, like, one of the objectives of this whole mission."

"Can't just punch ALL my problems." A wry look.

She chuckles "Wouldn't be fair to the problems if you could. You guys are HUGE."

Oh, that earns a quick grin. And a bicep flex.

Dika-Hannah covers her mouth but doesn't quite cover the giggle, "I think you'll get the hang of it, but you know even if you never get great at it, you are giving it a try and that's some things folks don't do. THey think they won't be great, and can't settle for okay. But like a wise man said, 'anything worth doing is worth doing poorly'. You'll be fine even if you feel you could improve."

Then she pauses, "If you were a white person I'd have to charge you ten dollars for genuine Native American wisdom. It's a tourist thing." She says deadpan. But her lie IS a lie, a playful one.

"I'm half-white." She shrugs. "So - fiver?"

"How about we buy each other a drink sometime," She compromises "Though here is is free. Are you as coffee addicted as most trolls I've met?"

Shrug-grin.

"Unlike Chief, I take cream and sugar."

"And the cream and sugar industry thanks you," Dika-Hanah smiles then whispers "I can't take it black either."

"Too bitter. Enough of that in the world."

"Exactly. I like the heat though," She says "We're in Alaska, hot inside helps keep the cold outside. Would you like to go to a spot here in the hold and have some coffee? We can talk, or we can skip the coffee and just shoot the breeze. I've done the 'duty' part of things for my tribe so to speak. Oh, I am supposed to say we have some celebrations coming up you're welcome to, but few want to see OUR people dancing. Still, it is a ceremony celebration for a new awakening.. like a Chrysalis."

"....Could I bring a friend?"

"Of course!" She says "It's a sign of good luck when guests arrive to celebrate. Your friend.. uhm he or she does understand our tribe is.. ugly? right? I mean.. woof." A sheepish sad smile.

"I dunno, Sy's sense of aesthetics is pretty esoteric."

"He sees beauty in a lot of things others don't"

Dika-Hannah does not mock this, nor doubt it, rather she says "That's a rare gift. Few people will drift from the ideal to look at the surreal."

"Are you familiar with sluagh?"

"Why yes. One helped the Baron and.. ooo," realization hits her, "yes, they are the sorts who look under the sun lit rock for beauty instead of the top side."

"Pretty much. They understand decay in ways I don't, but..." She shrugs. "I try?"

"Best you can do," she nods "Those of our tribe who study decay often learn the Autumn ways."

"Yeah?"

"Yep. It seems to allow a knack for it. Myself I prefer the Spring magics. Too useful ," She admits "Never know when someone needs a cup of healing."

"Sylvi's really good at those. Did she get them from you?"

"I don't know any of the Seasonals." An easy shrug.

"No shame in not knowing them. And I think Sylvi learned it from us and the DeBukes but you'll have to ask her for details. If you want to learn though you could probably find a mentor. May I... Oh." Her eyes glance over to Flyswatter. "I forgot about that bit of medicine. It's grown."

She raises an eyebrow.

"Your halberd, I remember seeing it before," True, "it's attuned to fight insect spirits. That's very useful. It's gained some power since I saw it last."

She certainly believes it.

"Well, it's used a lot."

"May I ask you a question that's going to sound odd?" She looks curious, then adds "Besides the one I just asked which probably sounded odd in the first place."

"You can ask."

"When's the last time you were bit by a mosquito while carrying that?" She inquires. IF Dagmar thinks about it, while she's been bitten in the last three years or so of course, it was NEVER while wielding Flyswatter. Now when she first got Flyswatter, sure she got bit then with it or without, but the last three years? No.

"Uh..." A thoughtful look.

"I... I dunno, years?"

A slow grin, and she gives the haft an affectionate pat.

A nod "Sometimes it's the little gifts. " A smile as the weapon gets a pat "you SHOULD pet it. Mosquitos up here are HUGE."

"I bet."

"Well , if they survive the cold they get tough, mean AND hungry. Mosquito spirits are the enemy of all mankind," She makes what appears to be a warding gesture.

"Well - they're good food for birds?"
