"I am?" She asks

"There are books. For those movies, and Bilbo's story, too."

The Chimera's eyes go huge, then "If you were pooka I wouldn't trust it. Really? How wonderful!"

She's gotten brighter

"Would you like to read them? I can try to get you a copy."

"I would love to read them," She stops "What if it's not as good as my hopes, what if it is not as great an experience as I imagine it can be?"

She shrugs. "Sometimes it's good to go in without expectations. But, like - it's not an obligation? If you aren't enjoying the book, you can always stop. The movies are still there."

She nodss "And that's how you should enjoy Alaska. "

A wry smile.

She lowers her voice "I AM excited to learn there are books though. Sometimes I like the quiet of books. Movies on TV are nice but the commercials come on and get so LOUD. What nightmare maker did that?"

"Oh, I don't like that. Or when the explosions are loud, but the talking is soft, and then you have to be all up and down with the volume..."

"So aggravating" She nods "Lots of good dreamers try to spread stories with that and someone is ruining the fun." She adds "I know, Chimera don't seem to be TV watchers but I've had kithain friends who show me this or that show and I've got a bit hooked on some. And movies on them."

"I mean, how are they different from stories?"

"People make those. Dreamers do, too."

"I suppose you have a point" she concedes. "Creation comes in many forms. If it brings joy, then the medium matters less than the message.." SHe pauses "I think. Some mediums are easier than others depending on who you are." She considers "The Baron likes Westerns."

"That tracks."

"My friend May? She's gonna make movies. She writes books, too, but just - movies."

"Oh? Does she have a favorite genre?" Interest perks

"Fantasy."

"Big adventures. Fantastic beasts. Magic."

"That is my favorite," Says the girl who loved Lord of the Rings movies "I wonder if she'll ever get to adapt some of Tamora Pierce's works. Oh you might not know her but she wrote some lovely fiction"

"Yeah?"

"She has a series of books called The Song of the Lioness, about a girl who wants to be a knight but her brother doesn't want to be so they trade places. "

"That sounds like something I'd like."

"Oh well, I have a copy at the Baron's hold and you are welcome to it. Baron Snowmantle tries to encourage heroism in the young, says it helps old timers like him stay fresh."

A laugh.

"He might have Tolkien there, too. I haven't explored the library yet."

"Oh it's larger than it was, he's expanded. Partly for the trolls. Who knew your kith were such big readers? Then again," A quirky smile "Not like you'd be little readers."

Snort!

"Oh, you haven't met Geordi. He's a troll and he likes books. He might be happy to show you around Snowmantle's library. He's quested for books."

"Sounds like something Earl would do."

"His Lady is a Librarian."

"I don't know if I know Earl but I can see why if your lady was one you'd bring her tribute, it's very courtly," She smiles "And nice too. I think the nice is more important than the courtly but they can be fun together. Does your oathmate bring you nice things to show he cares?"

"Earl's a troll too. Bit of an odd duck, but nice enough." She clasps her fingers around her knees. "My Oathmate sometimes brings stuff. But more importantly, he's.... there, y'know? He's my guile."

"Your... guile?" Curious "I know what Guile means but I confess I've never heard it used like that before. He's your sneakiness and cunning?"

A grin and she nods.

"That sounds terribly romantic, actually" She brightens, "Does he call you something..." Then realization "or is that private for him? "

"I'm his Strength." Softly.

She beams at that, "VERY romantic. "

A pleased blush.

"Well, if you ever want to take him for a walk around this area ,and are looking for private spots, I knew a few. I mean, others may know them too but they're not used much."

Starmist turns as if she heard something, a frown crossing her lips.

"What's wrong?"

"Did you ken that?" She asks looking off in the distance near a patch of woods.
