So many things going on...plus, classes. Sylvi's on a "fast-track" program for a teaching certificate, but the work plods sometimes. Still...it's a good dose of banality and distraction.

She pauses at the end of a paragraph that she's read three times, and sighs. Well, I suppose I can write a response about how I DON'T understand this.

Annoyed, she takes out her phone and starts typing a text that she's been meaning to send for a day or so.

Zane is the recipient: Hey! I hear you and Spencer were making some good noise up there.

TXT: Oh yeah, didn't think you heard about that! We got to sing three times. Pretty big crowd

TXT: Yeah, weird how recruiting news gets back to the area you're recruiting for.

TXT: 😉

TXT: Recruiting? Moi? I'm not team blue. I'm team Capricorn!

TXT: You've got a soft spot for a certain Lodge.

TXT: Sue me. Part of me will always be scribing notes for Mr. King, even if he's retiring and I've moved on. To be fair, we just planted seeds and spread the word. Not sure if it will take root. You TALL folks get set in your ways

TXT: Fair. The rest is up to them.

TXT: If anyone from DG ends up transfering, Hewitt may chuck me off a bridge like the smallest goat. 🫣 Oh. I'm coming into the area. Heard about Piper! You see her yet?

TXT: Can't blame Hewitt. And yes! I did! Put a little Spring in her step. She's doing good. You heard about the 🚼 🚼 ? Like, how they're doing?

TXT: You did? THANK you, you rock! And I haven't heard much. One boy, one girl! Knowing Piper with Hippie names

TXT: The names are definitely different! Don't want to spill the beans. Just be aware...one of them's really tiny, needs extra help for a while. Gonna be okay.

TXT: _Oh geez. How are the parents taking that? I mean, I know you say it will be ok and I believe you, but still, they got to be stressed

TXT: Understatement. Arrive ready to soothe.

TXT: I plan to let Piper win every battle of wits she has with me when I get back, just to change things up ;)

TXT: Generous of you.

TXT: Oh! Be careful. There's a doc in the NICU ward who's really gray.

TXT: Shit. I'll see what I can do to help. Might be a GOP time

TXT: And I don't mean the political abbrv

She blinks at that one and snickers a bit.

TXT: I didn't even think of that. I mean...not right in the ward, right?

TXT: Probably not, but it is a good waay to lower the chill factor

TXT: What does that do to babies?

TXT: Honestly? I don't think anything

TXT: Babies do not have the blocks we build up as we get older. There is no filter. Ergo sum Arcanum, there is nothing for the gift to help ease. Now, exceptions for real talents like Piper might apply

She can already sense Zane's academic/wizard side is intrigued

She grins.

TXT: Thanks, Professor.

TXT: You're welcome, padawan. 😉 How is GF? Heck, how are YOU?

TXT: So far, so good, I guess. Honestly, sort of feel like I'm going to be looking over my shoulder at CF for a while.

TXT: Everybody's saying it's going to be fine. We'll see.

TXT: This kind of hits some old triggers for you, doesn't it?

TXT: Ya think?

TXT: Anything I can do to help YOU? I've got a week in Bergen, approved by Hewitt. I think partly to keep me from recruiting at DG area

TXT: Ha! Clever of him. I'm down at school right now, but I should be up for the weekend at GF.

TXT: Come by and jam with Etsie for a bit.

TXT: Will do, though not sure ANYONE can keep up with Etsie for long ;)

TXT: Thank goodness. She's a powerhouse.

TXT: She is. But I'll throw in some of my own juice to help around the place.

TXT: Sounds great. Keep plenty of energy for the hospital visit, though.

TXT: Of course. Siv and Jonas need anything? I got ideas about Piper

TXT: I didn't get to see all of them. I think mostly they just need...strength, y'know? To know it's gonna be okay.

TXT: Of course, pizza probably wouldn't hurt.

TXT: Heh. I'll try for both. Siv's cat is at the lodge right? So food not a prob?

TXT: I think so? Not sure.

TXT: Will double check. I know your mom uses Mackeral for mouse control. Man your mom does NOT LIke Rodents
