Clearly, every changeling around Rutgers is excited... and the only sidhe who seems to know of the new arrival YET, is Michelle, and she's a Scathach

But there is something of a grand benefit to all beyond merely welcoming a newly returned dream in flesh. The Dream dance had its dangers, but there was some dross, some chimera that is NOT dangerous, and overall, the weight of banality is lifted. It won't last, but few sneer at the welcome reprieve.

Dagmar finds herself getting thumbs ups from folks.

Massey however, gets even more. As a satyr who has helped find another satyress, she's got mad props for bringing another goat in on a safe landing.

She waves it off as not important

"Well, I'm glad you were there."

"I was busy with the gears and the anklebiters."

"Oh, well, YOU guys did most off the work... sides, I had to be talked into it. Remember?" Massey is chill but honest "Without your pep talk I wouldn't be there to greet a fellow daughter of Pan. The more I think about it, the more I'm embarassed I had to be coaxed in the first place"

She shrugs. "Dream dances can be real dangerous. Mine was. Sylvi was there when I popped, actually."

"She was? Huh... how'd it go? I mean," She looks up , down, and up again on Dagmar "You turned out pretty well, but you said it was Dangerous. Nightmares?"

A nod. "Lots of chimera - giant bugs, mostly. Very aggressive giant bugs."

A brief grin. "Why do you think she's called 'Flyswatter,' yeah?"

At that , Massey laughs throatily "Okay, that makes SENSE. I thought you were being ironic. "

The grin broadens to non-trollish proportions.

"I try not to judge but bugs are gross" She admits, then adds "especially when they get in my hair"

"oooof, I bet. I mean, yours is straight but there's an awful lot of it." She impulsively reaches out to touch the satyr's hair, but stops her hand before making contact.

"Go ahead" Massey offers with a shake, the locks shimmer "I don't have many vanities, but that's one. And I LIKE that you like it"

"I don't like when people touch my hair without asking." She gently trails the back of her fingers against Masey's hair.

"I dig it. There's a lot of history there " Massey admit, but rather enjoys the stroke "it's different... you're a person of color and.." Then she looks amused then mutters "Well, blue too. But the point is, people better ask you."

An amused snort at 'blue, too' and another smile. "Blue's a color!"

"One of my favorites" Massey says sassily at her troll friend. "Want to go dancing later this weekend?"

Well, now she's lilac. "I mean... yeah? Could be fun."

"Groovy" Massey lights up at the notion "Gonna be a blast. But don't worry, the place I know has good bouncers that keep the creeps away if you give them the signal. Not that you need that, but it's nice to just focus on the music. Right?"

"Right. I generally don't get creepers."

"Very few guys are interested in a chick who looks like she could bench-press them."

"Well, they don't know what they're missing" She observes with a hip bump "I get a few, but a hoof in the instep will work wonders"

Still purple, and a shrug.

"I am very good at protecting my friends, though."

"Hey." Massey looks up at her taller friend's eyes "You are great at it. But that is not the only reason folks should want to be around you and its not. Not for me anyway. I like you. You're funny in a sly way. And decent. You've got a heart so big it is amazing it fits in your chest."

She ducks her head a bit and rubs the back of her neck. "Um."

"And I've made you uncomfortable again" Massey shrugs "it's cool. I'll tone it down . Anyway, figure I'll pick you up at five saturday night?"

"You didn't." Her hand drifts to her mouth and she bites at a cuticle. A nod. "Okay."

"Fantastic. The DJ is a friend." She has a lot of friends. More contacts than optical aid warehouse. "So any news from the homefront?"

"Chief's home."

"Yeah? I know it was just a bit but felt like forever from what you said" A nod "You gonna miss the 'storm' thing?" She's tried to learn about the troll lodge station

Brow furrow.

"Kinda, yeah."

"If I wasn't trying to balance there and here, I think I'd miss it more. But it was hard, being two places at once."

"Does she know how hard you busted your hump?" Massey inquires

And Dagmar may realize trolls aren't the only ones who look out for their friends

"I didn't really. There's a whole system in place, and nothing huge happened. No big crisis, no real threats."

"Mm okay. " Massey relents "Seemed like you were good at it though. Your mom said you were fantastic "

"Mom's biased."

"WEE bit" She makes a thumb and forefinger gesture with an inch of space

A shrug. "It's her job."

"Her job is cranking out amazing songs for me to go crazy about." Sure nod, "See, I can be biased too."

"Fair enough. She and Torin are working on recording some new things."

A nod then "Oh , it's gonna be Christmas jingles isn't it? They record now, release in a month?"
