Masey grins "if I snitch a fry, am I in trouble? "

"What? Nah."

"Got plenty."

"Less fun if it's not stealing" Phoebe grins at Masey

"I'll take the charity" the long haired Satyerss assures, and plucks JUST One of Sam's fries

"So, uhm, Sam?" Phoebe says cautiously "You're not just a troll, you're a noble?" Voice low

A touch of purple and a shrug.

"Not like... noble noble."

"I'm a knight."

"I serve, right?"

Phoebe grins "Apparently you serve fries to satyr gals" . Masey who WAS thinking of snitching another after all, blushes

MORE purple.

"Uh."

Masey goes on "Knights are often the swords of noble barons and up, but a lot of them are errants who look out for the little guys"

Phoebe says "I didn't deal too often with the higher ups. I saw a sidhe once, stared like an idiot"

"They're... pretty, yeah."

A swallow and a shrug. "Easy to get overwhelmed, for sure."

"But me? I'm sworn to Chief. She's.. you know, like me. Tall, blue."

Phoebe looks surprised, "They have those? Chiefs, I mean"

Masey takes a sip of her milkshake

"We do." She taps her chest. "It's an old system, least as old as barons and counts and that, if not older."

Masey nods "I always wondered about that. Professor Wayburton says the troll system predates most houses"

"It's a good system."

"Doesn't put too much on one person, yknow?"

Phoebe admits "Okay, so you're a knight to a viking..err troll lodge. Did you need permission to come here?"

She chews on a hangnail.

"Well, I did ask Chief."

"I don't think she'd have said no? She's really great. I'd like to be like her."

"She sounds pretty Boss" Masey says dining on her burger

"Girl boss even" Phoebe agrees

"Who's a girl boss?" Sylvi says as she comes back with the sweet potato fries, not regular fries.

"Chief."

"Your chief" Phoebe says "That is, if you and Sam have the same one?"

A grin as she takes a seat. "We do. Well, kinda, for me, I guess. But yeah."

"We both answer to Kerri for sure, though."

Masey grins "So, if you're into taller women that's the place to go huh?"

PURPLE.

Sylvi laughs at Dagmar's comment. "We both totally do!"

And then a grin at Masey. "Well, most of 'em are taken at the moment."

"Noted with sorrow" MAsey winks

"Isn't there a new DeBuke?"

"Oh, you're right!"

Two at the lodge if you count the rover in training, as Sylvi might recall

"I don't know if I count for there right now or not..." Says the girl has been home most weekends...

At the name DeBuke, Masey looks surprised "Wait, of the Iowa DeBukes?"

A surprised look. "You know them?"

"They're everywhere."

Masey taps her nose and points at Dagmar "Like she said. Also, they've got a rep ever since they got outted to the world. Good or bad depends on your politics"

"Yeah?"

"Wait...who thinks they're bad?" Then she turns to Phoebe. "Sorry. Mutual friend thing."
