A food truck

The food is SO good

So unhealthy

So chock full of calories

To be fair, being 6'2"and an athlete means Sam runs on a LOT of calories.

indeed! for those who will be doing track? This won't make a dent

Phoebe, however, whimpers as she tries to slip by the smells of the sweet and goey delights, for donuts are a speciality

"Ohhh, look, that one has fruity pebbles on it..."

"Not the peebles" Phoebe says, but jerks her head back "Oh lead me not unto temptation I know the way"

"It looks really good."

She sniffs

"We've got all kinds" Says the devil man sales man... actually he's a boggan grump with a warm smile. A grump. Not that phoebe sees that "You like Jelly donuts? We got those too"

"Powdered or granulated or glazed?"

"Oh sure.. glazed jelly but two powdered"

"Mmmm." Thoughtful. They are ALL jelly, but...

"Strawberry jelly or grape we got..." The guy says

Phoebe snaps "I'll take the fruity pebble one, and you're a monster sir who preys on the weak willed"

"Maybe he's an angel, who sensed our need?"

"See, I like that" the boggan smiles

"Our need for donuts." Sam picks out one glazed-jelly and one powdered-jelly. For science.

"I'll pay for both, in hopes my athletic friend can burn some calories for me too" Phoebe hands the money over

"Who doesn't need donuts?" the boggan grump nods in agreement and tkaes the money "Sure you don't want some for some friends you'll meet later?"

"Mmm, point. I'll take a small box? My roomies will want some."

"If you hand some day-olds, I'd take those, too."

"Day olds?" the boggan seems surprised, "Why would..." Then realization "oh, yes. of course. I'll trhow in three for free. Sound good? Let me get a separate box for them" And he does, two small boxes. One with day olds marked 'D.O.'

A grin and a small nod.

And Phoebe goes with her "Why would you want " She munches her prize "Day old?"

"Symon likes them that way."

"Symon definitely marches to drum of his own beat" She says after considering it for a bit

Phoebe being a bit odd herself

"He does." Fondly.

"mmm I almost said 'awfully quiet' but it's not always awful is it? Delightfully quiet? Suitably quiet? Or just quietly quiet also exist"

"He keeps to himself, and, sorry, you still count as a stranger."

"Doesn't get much stranger than me" She chuckles, then mmmms "my god this devil hole is good"

"See? Needful."

"I'm weak"

"Well, just keep walking, and those carbs will be gone soon enough."

"Yep. I'm gonna run around the quad in the cold three times.... twice. Once and a half, it's cold"

A wry little smile. "Sure."

"See you around, Sam! Say hi to Sylvi and Symon for me"
