"Let them deal with me."

A snort. "I gotta save THAT card for when I need it."

A grateful little smirk, though. "Hey, swing Sylvi's legs up on the couch when you crash? She'll get a bitchin' cramp in her neck if she sleeps like that."

"Yeah, point." She adjusts roomie #3, and then works on cleaning up the food.

"Got any leftovers?" Hopeful.

She eyes the box, then offers it over.

He fishes out just two wings and hands the restback. "I'll save these for next week."

"You know, if you go by right before close, they might give you whatever wings they have ready. Or Sylvi."

"True. Ones that are dodgy already."

"Nah, they're still fine. I just mean... I walk into a place, ask if they got any leftovers, they give me directions to a methadone clinic. You two get better odds."

"I'm beat. Morning I gotta do clinic shadowing. Still planning on a laundry run this weekend?"

"I am, yeah."

"You wanna hitch a ride?"

"I mean, if you're already going. Night." He says, noncommittal. A wave before vanishing into his room.

And off to bed!
