"I mean, if you don't mind, Sam."

Quetz slithers back to post, perhaps sad he was not allowed to eat the dog bag hybrid

She shrugs.

"And yeah, sorry, we know each other from high school" Jayce says to Sam

"How about you guys?" He asks Sam "High school?"

"Yeah."

"Cool"

“Sam is on track. Should see how far she can yeet a shotput .”

"Yeah? Curling" Jayce nods

"Actually middle school."

"Curling? Like...with the ice and the brooms? You do that?"

"I throw shot and hammer both. Did basketball in high school, but they said I should stick to one team here."

"Oh yeah" He nods "And trust me, I had to punch a football player once after too much harassment about it"

"Curling looks cool. Takes teamwork."

Sylvi looks dubious. This guy does not have the kind of build she'd associate with curling. At least, not that kind of curling.

"I like Canada, but they have had Curling Supremecy too long, they're honorable, like NOrthern Samuraii, but it's time for America to step up with the 21st century of sports"

That wins a little snort-laugh.

"Yeah, I say that around Trace he just rolls his eyes so hard you think it's gonna bowl him over"

A sniff "Oh yeah" Jayce adds "Bath time for you, Athos." Athos sticks his tongue into Jayce's lefft nostril

And the dog gets a smile.

Meanwhile Symon is muttering to himself in an odd way. As he promises an invisible imaginary snake that he can have some spicy wings.

Sylvi still looks a bit dubious, but also amused. "Well, we won't stop you. Just glad you got him back."

And they all head back to the building (?)

"Yeah thanks again" And they all head back to the building, but not the same exact areas, obviously

Meaning the three : Sam, Sylvi, and Symon have their privacy again

And it's finally time for some of those wings.

"Well...they seem okay."

"I don't think Trace appreciated us getting involved, though."

"Cute dog."

"Trace is just an introvert." She shrugs.

“Not sure about broom boy.” Symon says. He gives a spicy wing to Quetz to swallow whole like a tasty mouse with BBQ sauce.

"Jayce? Why?"

Quertz being semi transparent, is cool to watch when he eats. You can see the food dissolve to ectoplasm

Sylvi watches Quetz dine with appreciation, and nibbles on her own.

"What's wrong with Jayce, Symon?"

Dag picks out a wing, trying not to make a total mess of her hands while eating it.

Odin waits almost casually, someone WILL drop something

“I wasn’t convinced there was a dog.” He mutters. “I mean, woe until him if it worked HERE, but it’s a good excuse to get into someone apartment.”

"Huh. Hadn't considered that."

Second wing, second flavor!

"Yeah, I was keeping him in the hall until I knew you two were both right there."

"Well, they seem legit now."

"Yeah. I mean, if that was a scam, it was a pretty convincing one, and I don't know how Trace contributed to it. I think they were for real."

Symon sighs. “I already have friends. I didn’t realize more would be required.” Mildly annoyed.

But, in jest.

A blink at Symon and a grin. "Your secret is safe with us."

He looks down at his knees which have dumpster muck. “I’m going to need to do laundry. They make everyone wear new scrubs every time we go into the morgue. I don’t know why they’re so picking about THAT wing. THOSE patients aren’t going to catch anything.”

"You've been going into the morgue? Is it...um...everything you hoped?"

A quiet frown. She takes a third wing. (Third flavor!)

“It’s nice and quiet. They don’t let us DO anything yet. It’s just first week, mostly just tours.”
