The Mountain is in charge of matters glamour filled. So when less than two miles away there was a dream dance explosion like a fireworks factory hit by a flamethrower, and giants fighting over it... he noticed.

He had to call in sick for School, something that gets teachers in trouble, but it was necessary. The Thanes and he are gleaning excess glamour, searching for any dangerous chimera that might have formed or escaped, and other things while the Kings over there rightly get to celebrate. In a way he's humbled.

The dreams come to him, futures that might be and he'll never be able to talk about. Sometimes, and usually to his regret, they jumped wrong. Other times they jumped right and he still regretted it. CJ's dream dance could have gone bad, he saw that, but he had faith in Dagmar resolving things. And her being the hero, or at least that chimera inspired by her, would help CJ deal with the fact she had duties elsewhere. being a troll would help him adapt to the rest.

CJ King is himself at last. And potentially, the most powerful Mountain Rivervale has ever known IF he lives long enough. It was hard to see the interim, Siv was in the way, her gift for evading scrying and the like making it hard on his vision but past that moment where she became or declined being a Mountain herself, Vali could see CJ bearded, wise, and scarily potent. Like someone put Emmit and Frank in a blender and poured out a sage shaman warrior. It was going to be hard to guide the boy with what he'd needed. Trolls are stubborn, and while duty bound, if you push too hard they kick their heels in. And it wasn't just trolls. Ah well. He tried to place an order for his visions, what NEEDED to happen in what order _The Theft of Plenty, the Discovery of the Bifrost Ticket, the Witches Hour Made Eternal, the Dread Snuggler, and the Fall of a King.

"Isn't it great news, Mountain?" Sally Mae beamed the obvious as she came out of the kitchen with care packages and more food for the Barn. Good ole Sally Mae, rich enough to retire before thirty and yet loving the Lodge so much she was happy to be third place always. Of course her sidhe lover wasn't highly placed either. He had to admire her. She no longer NEEDED troll approval but did what she did because she cared. "A new troll in the world!"

"Oh see you saw that, but Tiffany and I were hoping he would be a satyr just to watch Jaymes facial expression" Vali quipped.

"Be nice," The kinain huffed.

Vali chuckles, "I'll take the goodie bags and things over if you like?"

"Would you? Thank you kindly, Mountain," Sally Mae hands them over, "I am so glad for CJ. I know they'd love him just as much if he were kinain but this really will make it easier for him to stay enchanted and part of things. It's harder when you're a childing, least it was for me. But as a kithain, why, who knows how far he'll go?"

I do Vali thought about replying I know the tears he'll shed, I know the helplessness he'll feel, and I know the price he'll pay for the knowledge he will need when all seems lost. And that's the GOOD path. Instead he gathered up the care packages, "It's a happy day, and you're welcome." He headed out; images of a dangerous future where ANOTHER Mountain had to save the day dancing in his head.
