Vali sips his coffee

Siv ponders "Jonas, the traitor, is of the opinion that eventually, the kids should learn horse back riding as WELL as sea travel. What is your opinion, which I'm sure is unbiased?" A bit wryly

"I think at least one of them is guaranteed to pick horses, if just out of sheer defiance."

"You may have noticed a thing with King daughters, especially..."

"We're all adorable?" Siv suggests

Vali snorts then coughs "Strong coffee" Half ping

Snort.

"Oh yeah, one stoic horse-girl, guaranteed." She grins. "And Auntie Dagmar will be the favorite."

"Oh ho, plotting already. You'll probably buy her off with horse rides and critter petting" An exaggerated hurumph

Vali says "Could be the boy who likes horses" He points out

"Don't tell her that, Uncle Vali, she'll try to corrupt em both" Siv explains

Dag grins.

Vali looks amused at them both "Things will unfold as they should I'm sure"

At that ,Siv arches a brow "Uncle Vali, you're a beaumayn, you haven't seen..."

"You know I'm not allowed to answer that, " Vali holds up his hand "Enjoy the now"

And now she snickers.

"Argh. I swear it's a good thing I'm a spy or I'd never be told anything" more to grumble than anything

"Oh, that's what you were doing in the kitchen? Spying?"

"No, that was flat oout Eavesdropping" Siv says, then she looks at Vali "You're trying to set me up to be Mountain someday?"

"Set up has a negative connotation" He says

"Not answering the question" Siv counters.

"Ain't that interesting" He smiles, rises, and gets up "I'm off on patrol. Night ladies"

"Night Vali."

"Mmmph good night" Siv says as he departs

"he did that on purpose" Siv protests to Dagmar, then she asks "Do YOU think I might make a decent mountain? I always thought I was too out and about for it"

"And don't butter me up, please. I need honest even if it hurts, Dagmar" Siv asks

She shrugs. "You're not right to be Mountain right now."

"But who's asking you to do that?"

"A fair point" She admits thoughtfully "What do you think I'd need to work on if I did it?"

"I mean, there's the obvious - lore and magic."

"Lore-hunting, that's you and the Narwhal playing Indiana Jones."

"I say we make Gerd Chief once Kerri's retired and she's the new Hearth."

"I mean, since the grown-ups are making plans."

"I always thought Sylvi would be..oh right. Huh." A thought "I know lore from dad but hunting it would be awesome."

"Welp, I'm sure Sylvi was plan A."

"Sylvi's King-adjacent."

"She is... mm Gerd would be stunned to even be considered, which might mean she'd be more qualified than she thinks" Siv ponders "She WANTS to be Hearth one day. But Aunt Kerri is Hearth AND Chief so it could happen. We'll have to retire Uncle Vali though, maybe give him a 'get off my lawn' sign"

"Which is why I'm saying, no rush for you."

"Pretty sure you need to be a lot closer to grump."

"I'll be such a MILF.." A pause "Crap. I AM a MILF."

"Moving on" She says "Yeah, and you'll be an even bigger legend by then as Storm. Hell, Joust Club will probably be Concordia wide."

Snort.

"Joust Club is more Dee's baby, really."

"Oh fine, by then, you'll have set up the first Firefighting Order of Knights in Concordia. The Order of the First Response!"

She sips

"That sounds kinda cool, actually."

"Yeah, it's not bad" She ponders "The DeBukes do something like that, but they're a bit scattershot. A knightly order of it would be... mmm you know, that wouldn't be a bad goal for you one day IF you like"

"Except it shouldn't just be for knights."
