Vali rises and says "Want some coffee as a chaser to that water?"

"No, thank you."

"No problem, I probably need to cut down but it keeps me going." He sips "Anyway, what do you think of Siv's potential as Mountain?"

"Truth to tell, I haven't considered it heavily. I'd need some time with it."

A nod "Fair. I don't think I'll be stepping down any time soon but always good to have a spare" Wryly

"Peace of mind."

"Nice to seek" he says.

Oak cocks his head as if hearing something, then he growls.

Frank glances at the dog, and lifts an eyebrow. "Go seek." he says quietly.

And the dog goes out the door hurriedly

"Wonder what he heard?" Vali mutters putting his drink down

Frank likewise moves to pull his boots on and carefully look from the doorway.

Gathering what they need, the two ready to follow...

and to follow would be wise, for the Dog lets loose a furious set of barks and snarls!

"He's found something all right" Vali says

Frank steps out, motivated; not running, but at his height he doesn't need to.

As Frank comes out, he hears cursing... "What the hell is wrong with that dog?"

That voice is not one he knows.

"Look, you stupid mutt, it's a wolf, not a dog, and it's fair game" Says another voice

Oak can handle himself, but that doesn't mean Frank drags his feet.

A winged Sky wolf lays breathing hard, wounded. Looks like someone shot it with an arrow. Oak defends the fellow canine, interposing himself between it, and three changelings.

The Redcap, Nocker, and Eshu are not familiar.

They are in hunter gear, and each, in their own way, armed.

Frank strides up. "Hold." He says with quiet authority.

"This your damned mutt?" The Redcap glares

But they do back up a bit

"Both of these creatures are of the Dreaming, and under my protection." he rumbles quietly.

"Who are you?"

"Cource they're of the Dreaming," The Nocker states "Where else would they be the furk of? But they'll breed more.. it's just one, sothead. We're hunters.. .and we hunt so wwhat's it to you?"

The Eshu holds up his hand "My friend is rude, but I admit to sharing his confusion. This creature will be worth a story, and valuable dross as well. We heard a whole pack was in this area, thus one should be no loss mmm?"

"I said. They are under. My. Protection." clearly and firmly. Privately, Frank is glad he found them and not Dagmar.

"And he's not alone" Vali says behind his shoulder

"I am Frank King." he tells them "Who are you?"

(Charisma plus Intimidation roll or best guess)

"Wait... frank King?" The Eshu pales "The Trucker?"

"Yes."

"He asked you a question by the by " Vali reminds, he's bent over the wolf tending to it as best he could.

"I am Yusaf the Hunter" The Eshu answers, then says to his friends "Let's go, this area is off limits."

"What the furk?" The Nocker blurts "Why..."

"Yes. It is. Tell your friends, Yusaf the Hunter."

The Redcap also noted the name ,and seems less adversarial

"I will" Yusaf saays "We'll hunt in another barony"

"Try another COUNTY " Vali says "Not you'll find much green in the other baronies of Bergan compared to ours"

Nocker mutters "I don't understand... but he's not wrong, the others are way too urban" They'll head off, if allowed

"HOLD." Frank speaks firmly, not shouting. "I will have. Your names. All of you."

"Skabby" The Nocker says "Skabby DePew"

The Redcap shrugs "They call me Snarltooth."

Frank nods. "Why are you hunting, hunters? What is your need?"
