Olgar says "it's not stupid. If Anne Marie came up to me and told me some guy was attracted to you, STRONGLY, I trust you, but I'd sure give him the evil eye. It's human, and we're half human. And the troll half? Well, that's got its own hang ups. You want me to talk to Myrine, wave my ring in her face and... " Realization "Huh, maybe that's why she left so abruptly."

"She did?" A quiet question.

"yeah, we were talking bout intersectionalism as a factor ,she was quoting some paper by Meltzer or something, amazing stuff to be sure... then she suddenly shifted gears, seemed uncomfortable, and said she had to go Marsha some thing they were going to do togeether" He looks at his wife honestly "I thought maybe she looked at my face and got a bit repulsed actually. DO you want me to talk to Myrine about this?"

A deep inhale and slow exhale, and finally she shakes her head. "No. I mean..." A pause. "Maybe. I don't know." Another head shake, and she meets his eyes again. "I know you didn't do anything. I just don't want her to push you to do something." The unspoken context of she's a satyr might be detected.

"Baby, I don't want that either. First of all, Gift of pan lowers your inhibitions, makes you do things you want to do but hold back, and it would be really awkard to be hit with it... get worked up , then find out you weren't near by so a half hour later I'm grabbing you in the milk aisle at the grocery store trying to talk you into fun positions. You DO know that would be the most likely effect of it right? That, or have me tell Frank ALL the stuff he's doing wrong? Both are urges I restrain normally" before she can ask he confirms "Yes, one time you were in he Milk Aisle, you leaned over for a bargain, and I had a fantasy right on the spot. It would have gotten us arrested, but damn it was hot." The he adds "And while it might sound like I'm covering my ass? ANOTHER reason it wouldn't work on me causing me to chase her is, while I like her, I'm just not attracted to her. " A sigh "I'm going to sound like a jerk , but we all her our types, and while I like her brilliance, she doesn't have your sass, your fire. You do know that I don't just love you, I still lust for you right?"

Kerri stares at him for a long minute, her jaw tight, seeming to be making a decision.

"I' m not belitting your concerns... but , she might be attracted to me. I'm not to her."

Which to be fair, is something Anne Marie did indicate, that it was one way. Well, that's what she kind of said

Decision made, Kerri stands abruptly...

His voice gentle, his eyes a bit pleading.

She reaches to grab the collar of his shirt, leans in for a sudden and enthusiastic kiss, and then turns to pull him in her wake as she heads for their room.

Dirty dessert dishes are left on the table. Such scandal!

Olgar returns the kiss, feeling his own heat rise, and then... he's dragged off. She doesn't have to pull hard, no sir ree, as they two vanish behind closed doors.

Finding the dessert plates on the table, Sally Mae Debuke snorts, "Oh that is it. I know they have kids now, but Piper and Siv are getting a TALKING to about leaving this behind"

And she gets to cleaning them, unaware she is blaming the wrong folks
