What she didn't expect was to find someone who knew almost about the waves of feminism as she did.

Olgar drank a beer while she had her tea and he said "Oh yeah, Sojurner Truth... I mean, given the context of the time, that might be what you call a cross sectional moment. I don't understand how it is personally, but it seems women of color are always having to choose between focusing on women's rights, and Black rights. Ideal world, it would all under the same blanket , but the world isn't that ideal or that simplistic. "

"Just so," She smiles "My frustrations are very real, but I don't have that war on two fronts that a woman of color would. Nor the insight for half of it, where as you... " She doesn't want to offend.

He shrugs, "Where as i don't have real understanding, not personal, of either. Trust me, nothing like having a wife AND a daughter to help a man realize how much he does NOT know. I tend to take a supportive role for that and other reasons."

"Have you read Metzler's new paper on Cross sectional conflict?" She inquires "Just came out."

He knits his brow, but rather than bluff admits "Sorry, Professor. That one eludes me. Care to share?"

And she does, going on for a while about new studies on how the patriarchy/powers that be actively seek to force such choices by promoting the illusion it can be one or the other, but not both. She goes on about Zero Sum thinking ,and he listens. She isn't rude and does ask his openion, and his blue collar insights are resspectful to her superior learning, but also have some very good points...

"Mind you, those are anecdotal" He admits

"Yet worth researching" She concedes, noting he doesn't seem as ugly as before. In fact, he is becoming down right intriguing.

Olgar shrugs "If any of it is legit, please, let me know. I don't mind bullshitting, but best not to in important areas" Failing to notice the satyr's at first delighted, aand now alarmed look

Myrine rises, "Oh thank you kindly I will ... email your such. Pardon, I just remembered i was goingm to meet with Marsha. " A married man. I mean, Wayburton and his wife are open, any chance that? No.. no, WORLD of Nope. We are not a homewrecker, nor are we pissing off a wife who can fold me into her pocket "Lovely talking to you, sorry to rush"

"No problem, tell Marsha Kerri loved her ideas for table arrangementt. She'll know what it means" He shrugs

"I will" She says, Retreeeaaat! and she departs.

Olgar, clueless, shrugs watches her go I bet she and Kerri could be friends

Anne Marie is giving an updated report to Kerri on Serenity "A real challenge, but I think we can hide her with a backdated personae." She is bouncing on her heels though, as if she is fit to burst

"That sounds tricky," Kerri says, but she admires Anne Marie's enthusiasm for the challenge.

"It's very. She's going to dye her hair with mortal dye. I might ask your daughter's input on that. The good news is she's a piskey, and she starts to resemble those she is around.. at least mortal wise. Jimmy is showing her how it is done. I always forget about him. Handy young man. So many new faces here"

Jimmy. Right. That's his name.

"Well, I'm pretty sure Sylvi would be more than happy to help. You can text her, right? You have her number?"

"I do" She says . Anne Marie says "Ah, Myrine, have you met her? The professor who changed at Rutgers, not the long hair student..both satyrs?"

"I've heard of her, but haven't met her yet. You've met her?"

"Oh yes, she was talking to Olgar when she left... abruptly" Gossip, so delicious, but Anne Marie is a friend and before it joins the rumor mill it goes to her

Kerri's brow furrows slightly at the odd hesitation there. "Did she get upset at something he said?"

"I don't think so... first, let me say, your husband seemed to like her fine. But she mentioned going to see Marsha, missing something. She did NOt go to Marsha by the way.. I might have checked. BUt when she left and Olgar couldn't see, well, Myrine was... fanning herself a bit and looking alarmed but also a wee bit.. uhm.. well, blushing."

She says "Kerri. I think she finds your husband attractive" It's just too juicy "I am sorry, but this is GOLD to me. Tell me not to spread it or I'll burst." And she means it. She has to have a friend yank her in on this

A large blink and a stunned silence for a moment as she processes this. "Anne Marie," she says at last, "you're my friend as well as one of the most valuable contributors to the barony. Please don't make me think that you'd stir up a hornet's nest at the expense of my marriage."

"Stir up a hornet's nest isn't how I'd word it" She sighs "But I get your meaning. THank you for pulling me in. I think I'll gossip instead about what I've learned about Serenity's family. SHe seems okay with that"

It's also public domain, Kerri thinks, but she doesn't say so out loud -- no sense in cheapening the commodity for Anne Marie. "So, would it make more sense for Serenity to go silent, or should she post online and make a big deal about how she's left her family behind?"

"For now? Silent. I'm looking into Emancipated Minor options... " She gives her friend a hug "Look, there was ZERO lust in his eyes for her. I can tell you that. I'd pick up. If it helps"

"I...uh...thank you?" Apparently, changing the topic didn't help. I know she's not trying to get under my skin, but....

"You're welcome" A look over at her, reading the mood "And I ..did it again. Sorry. Yes, Serenity has some back up plans ready for her. Actually" Thoughtful "if you like, I'll send you news of her favorite foods. It isn't what they say it is on her show. She ate what the sponsors pushed"

THAT offends her. The sponsors over riding someone's preferred meals

A frown. "Hopefully she has had a chance to learn what she actually likes. If not, we've got some exploring to do."

"That, my friend, maybe where your skills get another chance to shine"

"Perhaps. Well...what other help can I offer?"

"Actually you're already doing it. The chores you assign make her feel active and empowered. She likes Dagmar too. Good rolemodel"

A grin. "Well, that's part of how Dagmar herself got settled into fae society around here. I'm glad it works for Serenity, too." She stands and starts tidying things up. "I've got to get started getting dinner ready," she points out, "but you're welcome to stay if you like?"

"Ive got to get work done too, but see you later" She leaves with a smile, understanding a need to be alone to proccess
