Jaymes looks faded

Kerri lets out a long breath. "Jaymes, of course you can have the 'Fire tonight. Who's hurt still?" she asks, looking around.

"Gerd, you ok?" Frank asks.

"Jaymes, you need a hand getting into the Lodge?"

Gerd answers "I had a cookie, so better than I was." She moves to her dog

Jaymes snorts ("I'm drained, not dead. I can walk in")

Frank lifts his chin. ("Go on then.")

Jaymes nods to that and does so "Pardon, me Hearth"

"How's Edie?"

"Of course, Jaymes, and thank you."

"She's limping" Gerd picks her dog up gently . If it weren't for Frank and you it would have gone after her" She carries her in

Kerri turns to look at the roc again. "I sure hope you weren't feeding young, after all. Now what the heck do I do with you?"

The Roc is bigger , far bigger, than that Emu.

That is a lot of fowl for frying!

"I can get an axe." Frank rumbles.

She nods at the offer. "I might need to get another chest freezer, but I don't know where we'd put it."

A sidelong grin at Frank. "You're okay, Chompers?"

Frank makes a face and picks a bit of under-feather from his teeth. "Needs must." and he goes 'round to the woodpile for the axe.

And soon the grand butchering begins.

The axe needs a little sharpening, but not much. And yes, the Butchering begins. SO much Roc
