Siv comes in looking beat

"Poor Narwhal is about tapped" She says to no one , or anyone around

The bottled ship in her hand, she moves to JoJo "Coffee me, please, Jojo"

"Jojo!" Jojo says and provides

"Siv?" Dagmar pokes her head out from the kitchen.

"Dagmar, hey" Siv says. She's taking a swig of coffee with one hand, and petting on Mackerel with the other, then a smile "or should I call ye Storm?"

"Acting." But a small quirk of her lips, and a dusting of purple on her cheeks.

"Acting Storm Dagmar" A nod "And I hear you're doing it well, not that I am surprised. Nothing to report on finding Holger. Sad to say. My ship's about puttered out, needs a rest" She looks at the ship in the big ass bottle "i'll give it another go when it can go again"

"Do we know anyone that can scry the Dreaming?"

"It's very hard, lots of interference..." She ponders "Mountain Vali is trying, as you probably know." A sip "I..do know someone who is really good at some magics. Friend of mine"

"Anyone I know?" Kerri's voice carries down from the top of the staircase. She's carrying a hamper laden with laundry.

"See, I was thinking, yeah, it'd have to be a powerful magician. Emmitt, or the like..."

"I could visit her, if you like? See if she has more luck than most? " An offer "I'll just walk the trods instead and head there"

"Sure? You know lots of people."

"Yes, but...who is the 'her'?" Kerri's reached the bottom on the stairs and is en route to the kitchen when she stops in her tracks. And turns to look at Siv. After a moment, "...oh."

"I mean, if she's your friend..." A look at Kerri, questioning now.

"Well, " Siv says "A friend who is a bit private. If I told folkes 'oh she's powerful in this art' and named her she might get prickly"

"And hey, Aunt Kerri. How's the homefront?" A sip

Brow?

"Fine. And I can think of at least two possible 'her's in this situation. Is it the one near the seashore or the one near the big river?"

"She's definitely a River person" Siv says, then notices the brow from Dagmar "Sorry, Dagmar. I'm.. not reading that." A sigh at herself, some days her troll lingo is so off.

"I.. feel like I missed something?"

"Sounds like an EIluned. They get cryptic."

"Commoner, that much I can say" Siv smiles , proud of her friend

"Ah." Kerri nods, then looks to Dagmar. "Sorry, Storm. Don't mean to be cryptic. And it's not the one I was concerned about." She continues to lug the basket into the kitchen towards the laundry room. "Back shortly."

"Yeah? Okay..." Blink.

"Well, she's your friend. I'm sure she's trustworthy."

"Sure thing, Hearth" A nod to Aunt Kerri before turning back to Dagmar

"She's a nosy nellie but a grand lass" A nod to Dagmar "I should bring her a gift." Thinking of borrowing some of Gerd's tea

"Gifts are good, especially when asking for a favor."

"Yup, got to grease the gears, pay tribute to excellence, all that" Siv nods "I mean, she'll know that's what I'm doing, but she'll still appreciate the effort" Siv nods "Hey, been meaning to ask. How are your mom and da? I haven't visited them in a bit"

"Good! Mom's doing this project with her dad, recording a bunch of traditional songs. For an album."

Kerri returns, moving to the Mountain's desk. There's a small stack of envelopes there, and she starts sorting through them.

"Albulm? Hello, I know what's going on MY Yule wishlist"

Siv looks over at Aunt Kerri, then the envelopes, "And suddenly being a knight errant seems grand"

Nose-wrinkle. "Bills?"

Kerri doesn't look up as she says, "Siv, as to enlisting a friend's help, just...tell her she needs to be discreet. I'd rather not have rumors getting out that Rivervale lost a childling visitor." Then she looks to Dagmar. "Some. Other correspondence, as well."

"Will do" She says "Discretion she can do." Then sips "Need help, Hearth? WIth my ship down I can take an hour to help before I go out to visit my friend?"

She sighs briefly as she gives the offer some thought. "Let me figure out what needs doing, and I'll let you know. It might be something trivial and unexciting," she adds.

"I can help?"

"Somehow I'll endure. Besides, hospital visits and so on have given me new perspectives of Unexciting. "

"You already are," she says to Dagmar. "You've been setting patrols and keeping track of issues. Make time for your classwork, too, please."

She shakes her head. "I don't like you going to the hospital, Siv."

"I'm not sending Piper and Jonas in there without me everytime" Stubborn jaw set

"I finished my reading. I'm good."

"I'm not pretending I get a say in it, Siv," Kerri says flatly, still sorting mail. "I just don't like it."

A nod in response to Dagmar, then she asks, "Any activity near the trods?"

A sigh "Well, neither does Jonas to be honest. Sorry, I fought with him over this. I don't want to fight anyone else too"

"Understood," she says to Siv. "All's well with the babies?"

"Well, last time we took a sonogram, one was trying to eat the others foot. Is that a bad thing?"
