It may be clumsy, but it's his, and she loves it.

The message brings a frown. Holger missing after leaving here? Which day did he depart, exactly?

"Mountain?" She looks to see if Vali is around.

At the Mountain Desk that Frank set up and Vali inherited... there's Vali.

"I'm just hearing about Holger going missing," she says with a concerned frown. "I thought he was back at Fenix."

"So did we" He nods "But apparently he left the day after Frank and Brekke went on their alaska trip about a week ago... so half way of their vacation. Jessica called and is worried. We put Olgar on it, but I've been casting soothsay and so on. Honestly? The fact I can't tattletale him is a good sign he is in the Deep or further dreaming. "

"I wouldn't exactly call that a good sign."

"Is there a way you can look into what he might have encountered while still in the Near Dreaming?"

"Neither would I. It's like limiting 'which half of infinity is he in?' " And then "Working on that. Apparently this is likely over getting a puppy. From Dame Gladiola and Silverwolf. He's ...questing for a prize her baron can't say no to"

"Oh, no. Oh, of course he is," she says with a frustrated sigh.

After considering a moment, she says, "I suppose Sylvi wasn't much older when she first did a Dreaming quest, but she did it in a group, not alone."

"Hey, I pulled my boneheaded kid quest with a group so I'm right there with you" A nod "Dame Gladiola is after him too now, using her dog to sniff him out. Not sure that works in the Dreaming but she's the dog expert."

"And Olgar's the trod expert, and both are familiar with Holger, so...I think those odds are good."

"Promising... but Jessica is sending out people on her end too. I think she's...rather tense about this. I don't blame her. She didn't even blink when I said Siv could patrol seas in the Dreaming"

A wry grin. "I've rarely seen Jessica less than tense, I think."

"Mmm" (Tru dat)

Kerri moves to look out one of the windows, tapping her fingers on the sill. "It's idealistic and heartfelt, and I'm sure he's going into it with pure intention. That might carry him far. But it also means that he might be too innocent to recognize a threat when it approaches him."

"I don't know how much he knows about the rules of the Silver, either."

"I think he has the basics. And... the goodnews? He's got a chance of past life advice while he's in the Dreaming."

"Hm. That's true. I hope it's helpful for him." She sighs and moves across the room to the balefire. "Mountain, is there anything I can do that would be helpful? I feel rather useless about this."

"'They also serve , those who stand and wait'" he quotes, then says "You're the center of stability here, not only is that not nothing... it's everything. "

A grateful grin. "Thank you, Vali. But the standing and waiting can sometimes be frustrating."

Then, "Let me at least refill your coffee." She takes his mug.

"I wouldn't stop you" He nods "I think you're going to find me 'trancing' a lot. meaning a lot of demands will becoming your way for the day to day. I should be apologizing to YOU"

"Your wife knows the situation?" She brings the refill over to him. "And do you need a less-central and more-quiet place to concentrate?"

"She does, and she knows it is NOT Your fault... so you're safe" A smile at that "Truth is, she wants to join on the hunt, if it weren't for our son she would. She knows that if our kid was gone for a week she'd be nuts. I think here is good for now. Truth is? Not many come to me for problem solving unless it's CLEARLY magical and even then..." A shrug "I'm still untested in a lot of eyes"

"Perhaps." A moment, and an idea. "I'm tempted to send Dagmar after him as well."

"Don't we NEED a storm stand in?" A brow lift

"Still, best to give her a call regardless. to get her in the loop. You want to call her or shall I?"

"I probably should be the one. You need to keep searching." And she goes to make a call.

And he calls out "Thanks again for the coffee" And gets to work scrying
