She obliges. "I know they don't have 'real' names yet..."

"Actually they do... kind of fancy show names? But whoever gets them will make their use names whatever they want" Gerd says "I think Gladiola wasn't crazy about the 4th of July theme we went with. Still, she's won the Chief over because she got to heal up here"

"Mmph." A faint scowl.

"Don't like her? or did you have some cool names for the pups you wanted to suggest instead?"

"Ain't right a stranger fix our problems. We should have known."

"I'm still not sure how she found out that we had a kinain gang at all." She admits "I think someone tipped her off about it. But why tip her off and not us?"

"exactly."

Scowl.

"Try not to take it personally. You do good work on patrols. We all do"

"Yeah, but you get it, yeah?"

"Yeah. If someone doesn't trust us to protect the folks of our barony, it's.. well, hurftul AND unfair. If no one tipped Gladiola off, and she just found it , then either she's damn lucky, like Eshu levels lucky, or we REALLY missed a clue and while she did well, it feels like she showed us up a bit. Still, maybe we should learn from it. Only so many Kinain in this area, and we do sometimes neglect them. I mean, Sally Mae is the only regular one at the lodge itself"

"But it's a punch to the pride whatever else it is"

She harrumphs.

Then one of the puppies, suspecting there must be SOME reason to be growly, gives a 'fierce' bark and snort. Dogs are notorious joiners.

"Ha!"

Gerd laughs, and pets that dog "You little suck up. You'll go far. Come on, Dagmar. I'll make you some comfort food. We can watch a bad movie and mock it"

"Mmph. Sounds like a plan. Can the puppies watch the movie, too?"

"Sure..." She encourages them out after all "Grab Lazy butt there, good cuddler"

"or the exploer, we can use cuddling as a pin.. you know what, we'll just treat them like a pack of tribbles"

Dagmar takes a puppy (or two) under each arm.

As does Gerd, and the excess follow along. Soon, with some comfort food in a bowl, two trolls and six puppies are watching a movie that really deserves every insult or heckle it gets!
