"Okay, Da. I don't know if the trod trip helped or not. So I'll ask possibly again, are you okay?" SIv inquires

"Not really, no. Do you know if Jessica's aware people are using that name?"

"I'm pretty sure she's heard of it. As it is I was going to call her and let her know this 'Lady Highfeather' was in her neck of the woods"

"Already done. About the lady, not the name."

"Oh" Siv says , then nods "Okay. " She schools her features

"I'll tell her about the name when I see her." he starts upstairs.

"She already knows I used it" Siv says "She may not know others are. Da, thanks for helping me with Webster"

And an added "I love you, in case I do nae say it enough"

"Love you too, Siv." he steps into his bedroom "Be right back."

At that she looks surprised but nods. She'll get two more drinks then, and maybe some food for them.

He comes down pretty quickly; he's an old hand at this. He carries his travel duffle.

"you're... going to talk to her directly? Not just call her?"

"Yes." grimly.

"Okay. " A pause "may I ask why?"

Frank sighs "There's been a hurricane down there, she's trying to avoid a war, or making one worse, that lady Highfeather could be headed her way to cause trouble and on top of all that there's this knucklehead Westward stuff she needs to know about but doesn't have the focus to deal with. Least I can do is tell her in person."

"Ah" Siv says, face reserved "Well, if you feel she needs to be told in person then you should get on that. I'll stick with my mission on this end"

Frank nods. "I know you can handle it."

"I may visit that area myself soon. I have a Penhen to hunt"

"When?"

"depends on what else I can track down on her on this side of things" Siv says "i've more knowledge now. I may scope out Firnost a bit more. She's been there. If she left so much as a single hair from a comb that leaves me a hook"

"Mm. We should have gone up, checked the rooms."

"You were upset and in no mood. I'll head back now in fact. Maybe wear a different face to do it. " A beat "About Westward... the current one. SHould I find a way to leave her something? She might be in a bit of trouble herself we don't know about"

"Your call." he shifts his bag in his hands.

"Okay" She pours his drink into a thermos "A cider for the road so to speak" And puts it in his bag

"Tell sis I'm sorry I didn't show up for Hurricane clean up. On the hunt and all"

She does look a WEE bit guilty about that

"Thanks. If Jess needs help, she'll ask for it, Siv. She's allowed to live her life."

A BROW lift at that "Da, love you to death, but you can be a bit irony blind sometimes."

"I drove her away once, trying to be close to her. Won't do it again. Up to you how you proceed."

She looks over at the bag, at the gear he's gotten, glances at the phone area, then back to her father "I don't think Jessica will consider my apology for not being able to help with the hurricane at this time too intrusive"

"Ok. I'll call when I get there; tell your mother where I've gone?"

"Please do, and I shall, Da. " She nods "or at least leave a note for her when I'm following up leads"

"Right. Be careful." Frank gives her a hug and heads down the hall to the Renaissance-ward door.

She returns the hug warmly and smiles at that

and then each goes onto their own missions
