"What I said was that there was a time I didn't plan adventures so much as they just happened.

"Before you were born, Brekke and I spent some time learning to sail. Had to coordinate it, make time for it, find teachers and equipment.... instead of just jump in a rowboat and row out to the middle of the lake to figure things out on the fly."

"When I was younger and going over the road, it was easier to stop and help people, or make a side trip. Technology has really cut into the record keeping and time keeping you used to be able to fudge, if needed."

She listens raptly, nodding sympatheticly

Another soft chuff, this time a bit rueful "These days if I adventure without planning, I'm more sore and stiff the next day than if I take the time to train up to it and stretch out."

"Tish tosh, you're tougher than steel"

"But well, yeah. limbering up is wise for any"

"Mm."

"Still, I should get some of your stories, you and mom's before each of you came to rivervale... for the histories of the lodge"

"Mm. You assume I didn't do so already?"

"I didn't see... "She looks back at the study "Did I miss the book?"

Frank stands and goes to look.

It might be hidden behind some newer books if it was normally there

So he looks more closely.

Yup. WAY in the back

"It's here." he indicates, and retakes his seat.

"Oh.. " She moves to it and looks over "Oh if it were an eel it would have bit me. Okay. Cleraly I Need to research. Did you put your whole story in this?"

"No." mildly.

"Good thing I'm not Eiluned" She smiles a bit "Well, I'll start with this then pester you with questions later"

"Mmmmm... Siv, what's there is pretty much what I'm willing to say. You know a bit more than what is in there, in fact."

"Now there's an adventure, travel the country, talk to your old friends and contacts, see what they could tell me about you. Tweak visit should be interesting"

An eyebrow. "Could be." he agrees mildly.

"Course I'll have to drop by Kansas City too" She is now reading through the book

"Most people do, eventually."

"Heh. Some when they're just sitting on the Lou"

Frank chuckles.

She grabs the book "I'm going to set up a hammock outside and read for a bit." She kisses his cheek "Love you, Da"

"Love you too." he watches her depart thoughtfully.

Oak moves by his side and suggests Frank should scratch his head WHILE Frank thinks thinky thoughts. It saves time.
