Siv nods at that, not trusting herself

"Pretty straightforward matter." Frank opines.

Siv nods again, and dares "Yes, we love Uncle Olgar but his grilling is an abomination to all that is holy, a denial of Da'an itself. " She fights her amusement, but is TRYING to be loyal to her da.

Valter arches a brow "I see." He does not see, but is willing to let it be.

The talk about loving Olgar gets more a stern look than her condemnation of his grilling.

Siv sighs slightly ("Hard to win sometimes")

Sally Mae mmms "Lady Captain, stop sassing your father , please."

"I never" Siv protests

Sally Mae arches a brow at that, almost Kerri like

It doesn't last long; he continues his meal.

Valter redirects the subject "This will be my first beltaine here. I look forward to it. I've never experienced one at a lodge before. "

Frank glances up at the rafters for a moment, evaluating, then nods. "We tend to stay traditional. Honoring the wheel, welcoming growth in its season."

"And of course" Siv, being a Fiona says "Tis a time for romances old and new" She looks..wistful for a moment

Frank nods again, taking another bite.

"I'm bit long in the tooth for frivolity" Valter shrugs "But I shall enjoy the ceremony."

Siv arches a brow at Valter's declrtion of indifference to romance

"Not sure what Vali has planned but he's done well in the past."

"Course he has" Siv says "he was taught by the best"

Sally mae smiles and offers seconds

Frank declines regretfully and to be fair he served himself a healthy first plate. "Thank you, Sally Mae."

"You're welcome. " Sally Mae says "While I was in the kitchen, I got word from the Mountain by the way. Some packages from the County of Charm are coming in, so if we could keep an eye out he'd appreciate it"

Frank exhales through his nose, and nods. "Will do."

"The same"Valter says

"Charm" Siv sniffs and crosses her arms

Frank clears his throat.

"Sorry" Siv uncrosses her arms

"Mm." I understand.

A grunt nod ("Thanks")

Valter rises "No more for me either, Slly Mae, but I thank you. I'm going to patrol."

"Don't you need to rest?" Siv blinks

"I do not tire easily" He assures and heads to the door

"Have a good patrol, Squire."

A nod, then he pauses, bends down to pet Oak, and then heads off

Siv ponders "he's not a bad fellow, but wow. "Frivilous'"?

"Perhaps it seems so, to him." Frank wipes his mouth (and beard) with a napkin and settles back for a sip of cider.

"Oh it's trolls. I'm a kinaain to them so I've seen it all my life. You lot have to be DRAGGED into romance, either that or you have to see some fellow or lass in danger and you get all protective and at least that might get you talking to them" Sally Mae tuts

Siv looks up "Sally Mae, you do realize da and I are both trolls"

"Oh look, I need to get on those dishes" Sally Mae grabs them and retreats

"How're you doing, Siv?" he checks in.

"Marina opened up again so I'm repairing boats and the like once more" Siv answers "And been logging chimera for the books"

"Planning any adventures for the spring or summer?"

"Nothing planned Per se" Siv says then admits "Tempted to mind you"

Frank nods. "Mm. That's my season showing, I suppose. I remember a time when I didn't plan adventures so much as they just happened. And I would have laughed to myself if anyone suggested they could or should be planned. So, fair enough."

Siv looks interested "You just let things happen? You always seem so prepared to me, plan ahead a lot, usually for the better to be sure"

"-Now- I do." he reminds her "Less so when I was younger."

"Must have been something to see" She looks intrigued "Were you a truck driver even then?"

A soft chuff of amusement. "Been driving a rig for over twenty years now, Siv. Yes. A few breaks here and there where I tried different things. But yes, pretty much always over the road."

"Huh. Sorry, just picturing you just going which ever way the wind blows, getting itno adventures that you stumble across and making trouble.. blows my mind a little. I know you had some rough times before, have some regrets, but still, hard to visualize you as a bit of a wild man" A chuckle "I really need to visit...what's her name? Tweak? And see if she'll talk more bout it"

"Mm. Didn't say I was any of that." he points out "Interesting that's what you heard."
