She smirks. "Nerf rolling pin? Hmm...a bit of a stereotype, but...I kinda like it."

"Well, if you have improvements or suggestions, go with it.. I'm just riffing" He looks pleased and takes a drink of coffee "I tell you, I was stunned when the Chief said yes. I Mean, she nixed my first idea, but this... this is possibly better"

"It makes a lot of sense, on a few levels. It does give her a bit of a break, but it also...well...prepares for the future. A far distant future."

"Hopefully very far" he sobers a bit

She gives him a look. "I'm not the one who sees the future."

"Most of the time, neither am I. It's a crapshoot what I'll be shown, Da'an or chance, I don't always get to pick. And I have not actively sought to see the death of those I care about... if only to keep my sanity."

"And I'm not suggesting you should. Not at all. I don't want to know."

A weak smile rallies "Oh it's not all bad. I have some images, glimpses of the future that are quite lovely"

A grin. "I'm tempted to have you tell me one...but I won't. Spoil the surprise."

"I wouldn't be allowed to. But I know at least one you'll adore"

A sip and a smug sip at that

She puts up a hand. "Don't get me imagining!" she laughs.

"I predict...." He touches his forehead "Your daughter wearing an outfit for Carnivale which will have your eyes rolling and your husband wincing quietly"

She rolls her eyes. "So, par for the course, then?"

"That's how it works sometimes, yeah" A smile

"Anyway... what kind of apron do you want to wear? Have a message on it you've always wanted to say but never could normally? 'Get your own damned food' or the like?"

"Or maybe have a warning from the health department pinned to it?"

"Heh. I like it..." And they share ideas, she may even have a few for a Mountain turned Buffoon
