Olgar enters into the hold after a.. he hopes, successful visit with his daughter. He had worked on the car for an hour or three, gotten oil changed and more.

Kerri is putting away linen as he comes in the door. She looks over her shoulder at him. "You're a bit of a mess," noting the oil stains.

"Yeah, let me clean up. Got something for you to play when you get the chance" A wink "I'll give you a kiss when I get showered. Deal?"

"I'm counting on it," she grins. It's good to have him back home again.

And off he goes to shower leaving her with the record (or tape as suits)

She looks at the record, curiously. "Hmm..." Fortunately, the Lodge has an old-fashioned record player. Not a fancy stereo system, but enough to be able to listen to...whatever this is. She sets it up and puts the record on to listen.

She recognizes the intro music, but then, the voice that sings it may catch her off guard for she knows it well and it ain't the original.

A moment of confusion, and then a brief burst of laughter as she realizes what she's hearing. "Ohhhh...." she listens to the whole thing with a rather sappy expression that she doesn't realize she's wearing.

It might even stir memories

Oh, it certainly does that.

And then, in a fresh change of clothes and smelling vaguely of HER Shampoo, Olgar comes into view "Hey you" A smile "What'd you think?"

She...swats him with a dishcloth. "Brat. You didn't warn me!"

"What, and have it lose impact?" He closes in and kisses her, as he promised

She returns the kiss with interest, lingering a bit.

When they part, she says, "I haven't heard you sing in ages."

"Well, with Tove and Torin around, nevermind piper too, It might come across like hearing a high school kid trying to belt one out on Broadway.. albeit a deep voiced high school kid, but you get me. Still, our daughter was amused by my tale of our Karoke date. Don't worry, you came out of that story looking pretty good. "

"That first date?" She smiles at the memory. "I think we both came out looking pretty good that night."

"I like to think so. Apparently, our daughter has this whacky idea that I should take you out on another Karoke date since it's been.. how long since we did one of those?"

She blinks. "Karaoke? Well we went...." She thinks, then blinks. "Oh...it's been years, hasn't it?"

"I think we're talking a full decade" he admits "I mean, we've gone dancing and stuff, but singing on stage after a few beers? Yeah, Sylvi was knee high at best" A look at her, trhe question in his eyes

"Do places still do Karaoke?" she says, genuinely uncertain.

"I was hoping YOU knew, you're the social connected one" Amused at this

She smiles. "I can find out. And if they do? It's a date," she promises.

He acts bashful "I don't know, you know how SHY and unassuming I am..." Playfully he digs a toe into the floor

She laughs and swats him again, and then the research begins. Lo and behold, the place where they had that first date is still open (it survived the pandemic) and still doing karaoke nightly.

"son of a gun" he's actually surprised "What night you wanna go?"

"Soon. Maybe...this Friday?"

He bumps noses with her "I like it. You got a deal. Sally Mae can handle stuff here long as we make sure she's not dating Carowyn that night"

"I'll give them enough warning," she murmurs, nuzzling noses with him. "And I'll wear that dress you like."

"Ooo, now that's something to sing about"

She smiles, then gently pushes him away. "Meanwhile...I've got to finish some work before bed."

"But I'm all clean and nice smelling" He protests playfully

"You are..." she agrees. "Think you can stay that way for...oh...forty-five minutes?" He's already lured her away from the kitchen once since he got home, but she does have a duty.

"For you? I could stay pristine for a whole hour" He backs away with a wolf grin "So in 45 minutes, or an hour and 45, if you want to drop by and dirty me up again, you'll know where to find me. Love you, babe"

She gives him a smile that borders on the wolfish. "I'll finish up, then take a shower, and then we can compare how pristine we both are. In detail. Now, go on."

"Hot dog" he grins and heads up to their room in a bound

She shakes her head in amusement. "My man," she murmurs. Then she gets along to the last tasks of the evening, doing them with focused efficiency. As for the rest of the evening...that's for them to share privately.
