At the Lodge, Frank and Jaymes unload the clock and carefully carry it inside.

Jaymes talks and not in grunts "You saw the silver sparks?"

"Hard to miss 'em."

A nod to that "Hope this thing doesn't explode"

"Didn't see anything in it that might do that, except Glamour. Lodge is probably the safest place, if that happens."

They get it inside, and settled. Frank steps back and looks at it.

Thoughtfully.

And sings quietly to himself "One of these things is not like the other.... one of these things just doesn't belong, can you tell me which thing is not like the other by the time I finish this...."

I shoulda spent WP.

Frank is in the hold and that helps but not quite enough

He exhales heavily, and takes a seat.

He rubs the base of his horns, and shrugs. "Leave it for Vali, once he's rested. Don't suppose there's any real urgency."

Jaymes mms "one time I tried to call the lightning. My hair stood up for three whole days. Mortifying"

"Mm."

"Well."

He looks it over "Did you put the innards back in?"

He stands "I haven't set those up yet, no. Tried to keep most of them in there, just secured so they didn't ding around during the carry and the drive."

"Maybe that's why it didn't work?"

Another deep exhale, but Frank nods and gets into the clock, restoring what needs to be. He even sets the weights up and starts the pendulum.

Jaymes assists. Soon it is moving

Somewhat reluctantly, Frank tries again.
"When day comes we ask ourselves, where can we find light in this never-ending shade? The loss we carry, a sea we must wade. We've braved the bellly of the beast. We've learned that quiet isn't always peace. And the norms and notions of what just is.... isn
't always just-ice."

a sad voice , slurring as if echoing itself too closely answers "I was born of a dream, a dream in a story and made dream again "

"How did you come to the Autumn World?"

"Most recently ? I passed through myself when the Rabbit was pushed through"

Frank gives Jaymes a puzzled, even frustrated, look.

"Didn't you say the girl's name was bunni?" Jaymes offers quietly in a whisper of his own to his brother

Frank nods, his expression clearing.

"Who pushed the Rabbit through?" he whispers, although this may be a long shot.

"He who loved her" The Clock says

"Why?"

"To save her"

Jaymes is listening curiously

"Save her from what?"
