Brekke's expression does not betray concern. Her support is steady, and she moves as slowly as Dagmar needs to. She could easily carry the younger Gwydion, but won't unless it's absolutely necessary.

Olgar whipsers "No, babe" He tells his wife "I don't. A few scratches, shallow cuts that will heal." But something eats at him she can tell

"M'glad Connor found you."

"There wasn't time."

Connors tail wags!

Walking behind the others, Kerri quietly takes his hand so the others can't see. "What is it?"

"He's a good quire."

"Connor did a very good job. He is an excellent squire," Brekke nods.

Olgar whispers back "It's likely over a third of all Rovers in the Kingdom of willows are dead now. "

He squeezes her hand. Not tight, but she can feel the pain this knowledge is bringing him

"Oh, by the Dreaming...." she breathes, the horror of it in her voice, but she tries to keep it out of her expression. "It's that far spread."

"The flood came all the way up here" he explains "It sure as hell hammered willows all over. Balor and Eshu might be feeling a lot of loss too. "

"This is awful," she whispers, then squeezes his hand once before releasing it as they come close to the Lodge. She moves to get to the door before the others and calls, "Squire Brogan? Cots needed by the balefire. Quickly!"

The Hearth helps her squire set up those cots, and soon Dagmar and Jerant are situated in front of the balefire, Connor helping his knight with her armor.

"Yes, My liege" The boy moves quickly

Echo charges Olgar's leg and sniffs him all over. he has complaints!

Olgar smirks "Told you to guard connor, what are you doing staying here?"

Kerri says to Olgar, "Echo did exactly what he was told to do. When Connor went to find the Chieftain, I made Echo stay behind. He's a very Good Dog."

Echo wags at that

Dagmar mumbles thansk fr the help. Her voile beneath reveals the extent of what the armor hid, in its stains. But the flesh beneath is now whole.

"Oh.. yeah, no worries buddy. I gotta listen to her too" Olgar scratches him finding some solace in the dog

Brogan says "Dame Dagmar? Shall I get you a clean change of clothes for you to change into in the bathroom?"

Brekke moves to sit near Olgar, and quietly says, "Tell me how it was, again. What happened?"

Olgar tells her "I got a text from Gerd... you know there's a rover station at Brightwinds. Well, when I got it ,I realized I picked the wrong day for ground patrol and headed towards fast towards the trod.. near as we can piece together.." And the story is told

Kerri finally looks satisfied that Jerant and Dagmar aren't going to try to make a break for it. "Sleep. Both of you."

Jerant curls up in a fetal position "Never touching the trods again..." but he does sleep

as Olgar relates the details as he knows them

And Dagmar.. Dagmar eventually must sleep wheter she wants to or not. Her body exhausted by her heroic efforts
