"I think she envies Jessica and to some degree Dagmar that. you know she wishes she were more like you right?"

Brekke looks away and clears her throat, shifting a bit. "That is...flattering. But I would not wish that for her. She is Siv. She is right as she is."

"I think she's learning that" He looks over "And speak of the Sea Devil"

Siv comes up smiling

Brekke turns to look and nods. "Hello, Siv. You look pleased about something."

"JUst visited Earth runes, got a list of books for dad I think he'll like. Oh mom, I need your help if it's okay?"

"Books?" She nods; Frank does enjoy reading. "Help with what?"

"I want to make Da Breakfast in bed. was hoping you could make sure he didn't escape before it was ready?" she says

A brow. "Without him knowing the reason why, I presume?"

"well, he will probably figure it out"

"And when do you plan to be serving this breakfast? What time?"

"Was going to ask you about that" she admits "he can be an early riser. Do you think 7 is too late or too early?"

"Likely too late, unless he has come in very late after returning from a hauling run."

"Six Or... "She winces "Five?"

"Six, if it is a weekend. Which it will be. Is this still a plan you wish to undertake?"

"Oh this is just half of it" SHe says with a stubborn look "And what kind of daughter am I if i can't get up early for dad once a year?"

"Fair enough. I am impressed. I do not think I knew you could make pancakes."

"Won't be near as good as some, but I learned the basics. we take turns at the appartments..." She blushes a bit "Jonas is actually a fine cook. The real kicker will be... oh heck, I'll show you. Sec" And she races off

Vali arches a brow "OKay. It this a father's day or a battle plan?" Amused

"As I said, she is being clever."

"I think the best I'm gonna get is ugly ties" He opines

"You cannot convince me you would not wear them."

"Well, of COURSE I'd wear them. What am I, a savage?"

A slight grin, and she looks where Siv went.

Siv comes back, and says "mom, take a look"

It's a notebook of some sort. When opened, The chief sees photos...

She takes a look, holding the notebook carefully.

a picture of Signe and Brekke on Patrol, of course it doesn't show Brekke as a troll, just a mortal woman, but the new dog seems happy
to be about her on patrols.
Then, another picture, Frank on a Cot, with a dog's head in his lap. He's showing a gentle side.

Followed by a picture of Sylvi and Siv snitching some hot rolls while the Hearth is distracted by her Husband.
Followed by a picture of Sylvi and Siv now cleaning the kitchen, perhaps as a reprimand for food snitching. Knowing Kerri's food, still worth it

A blink. "Siv..." She turns slowly through the collection. "When...?"

"wasn't me" She says "I paid for it. Worth every dollar. Some are obviously newer than others"

Vali looks proud

"Paid? Paid whom?"

There's even a picture of Frank stepping out the Dawntreader as Brekke waits with two cups of coffee on the porch

Oh, that one gets her.

A LONG pause.

She doesn't seem to have noticed Vali's proud expression yet.

"It's my wife" Vali says "Tiffany took those photos. She didn't want Margilita to think you only shot with guns. And she is really good at it"

"I wasn't going to tell" Siv looks at Vali "But ..yes. I didn't know she DID this"

"She is very, very good at it." Brekke agrees. "Cruel daughter. You might make your father cry. Might," she emphasizes as she hands back the book.

"Oh I... well,I don't want him upset" She says perhaps misunderstanding"I know it's kind of invasive but...'

"Oh" She blushes "You mean in a good way"

"I do mean in a good way, Siv, yes." She offers back the notebook.

She takes it "Thank you. Long as he likes it"A look over "Some of these are very sweet. Did you want a copy of one for yoursef? I'm sure da will share"

"I will look at this with him. I do not need separate copies. But thank you for asking." Her tone might reveal that she very much looks forward to looking at these photos by his side.

A smile "Guess after pancakes and gift, you'll tend to making sure he has a great day to rest and spoil"
