Frank has rarely seen this side of Oak. Oak is HIS Dog, as far as everyone is concerned at the lodge, Frank is HIS person. Okay, Frank can fight it, but he's outvoted. Oak has been loyal, Oak has been playful

but Oak the proud father is rarer.

Signe and Echo have their dad watching them like a hawk. A proud, affectionate, hawk

He seems to have settled on the porch not to laze about, but to keep a view on them as they patrol and explore

Now and then, he looks at Frank, then wags and looks back, as if to exult in his pride

Frank chuckles in a deep rumble "I know. And, enjoy them while they are young." a little wistfuly.

Oak leans against him, sympathetic. Signe sees Frank and goes to check him out, make sure he's okay .

As the white pawed pooch approaches to sniff Frank, Oak shows his support for Frank to help drive the point home.

Frank crouches down.... WAY down.... to let the pup sniff him.

She checks him out, glances over at her dad, then back to Frank, and she wags just a bit. Apparently Frank checks out

Oak presses against Frank as if to show his daughter how it is done.
