Kassidy smiles and looks over at her sleeping liege, and Sir Frank dozes near the dog. the little girl waves quietly to Brekke as she comes in

Upon seeing the drowsy scene, Brekke closes the door quietly. She gives Kassidy a bemused, inquisitive look as she approaches her chair by the fire.

"he really does do the best Aslan voice" the squire whispers with delight "Siv fell asleep right as it ended, and Sir Franklyn decided to close is eyes for " she makes air quotes " 'just a moment'"

A soft rumble of breath.

Siv snores ... but in a totally feminine way- really. Course, Piper can be louder

Brekke looks quietly amused, and says as quietly as she can, "I have seen this before. Siv was smaller, though."

"what was she like?"

A blink at the question, and she settles back in her chair by the fire and looks up to the rafters as she calls up the memories. "Smaller," she repeats. "Fearless. Quick. Quick to learn, and quick to find a way to avoid a task she did not wish to do."

Kassidy's mouth breaks into shock "But she told me that if you can put work into avoiding a task, you can just do the task instead and then get in less trouble to boot"

Bemused. "She told you this? Hmph. She seems to have listened to her father, after all."

"She did" Kassidy nods vigorously "But she didn't mention she got told it herself"

"I am not surprised." A fond look at daughter and father.

"She's also teaching me some Norweigan. Did you know it's the most blessed language in ALLLLL the Dreaming?" Clearly she was told this as a truth

A hint of a grin, but quickly turned into a solemn nod. "Of course. What have you learned so far?""

"Oh, not much, just Hei for Hello, Hadet for goodbye, Mitt navn er, for my name is... Mitt navn er Kassidy," tthen she whispers "And one time when there was a guy doing 30 in a 45 road.. she yelled Ut av veien, dummen but I don't know what that means"

"It means she was impatient," Brekke says, then shrugs a bit. "Perhaps I would have been, as well."

"Well, Fiona" the little girl says "here... I'll gget you some coffee, you tell me how you beat Skallstrryke"

And, while Brekke may or may not share that tale, the young squire will insist on learning more

"Me? I did not do such a thing...at least not alone...." And she makes sure that Kassidy knows the story of all the brave people who did their part to succeed in bringing down that fierce foe.
