Jordan looks at Vali "Where are they?"

"Patrols some, helpinng rebuild a house most..." Vali answers

"Wait, where's the search party?" the wilder demands

"Search party forr?"

"OLGAR" Jordan says "Itt's almost Imbolc.. and this snow storm is.. it's worse near the trods. He's in trouble"

Kerri has just provided grilled cheese sandwiches for them. Her hand shakes as she puts the platter down, making it clatter.

Her jaw is tight, though. Her expression might reveal that she's been thinking about this, too.

"We're not sure it's the trods but I have considered.." Vali starts o say

"It could be," she says quietly.

"I know trods, I know dreamcraft.. this is .." Jordan turns thenn stops at the clattter and whisper "I'll find him, Hearth"

A frown. "Jordan, not to sound like a video game, but it's not safe to go alone."

"Well, once I find him... I won't be alone, and neither will he" Jordan points out closing on the door

"Jordan, you're not even doing anything to prepare. Stop and think a minute."

"Coat. " He pats his wardrobe "Weapon. " He pats his side piece "Compass " saddle bag "Attidue. All here. You guys do.. elder stuff. "

"Jordan..." Vali tries for a tone of authoriy

"Food?" she points out. "First aid? Blanket?"

Jordan looks tornn "I feel like this is a trick that if I wiat for the blannket I'll never be allowed to leave"

"I don't mind you being a hero. I mind you being a heroic idiot. Stay there."

"Vali, get him a blanket or two from the linen closet."

"Will do" And the vali goes o do so

Jordan fidgetts and eyes the door. Oh wilders... but more than that. Jordan has few friends... and Olgar is special to him as a mentor figure

Kerri goes back into the kitchen, but not before pointing at the plate of sandwiches. "Eat," she says to Jordan.

"Can'it I just take them with me?" He says grabbingg one "Whatt if Mountainn nVali freezes me so I can't leave? He's thinking about it." Ah, still cynical

"Hush. Stay." And Kerri is gone into the kitchen.

Jodan wolfs food down recklessly

to speed this up!

In a few minutes she returns. She's carrying a knapsack, and it definitely looks like it's full to the brim. "Thermos of coffee, thermos of soup, first aid kit." She thrusts it at him.

He takes it "I.. thank you. I'll get him back"

"I ought freeze you so you can't go do something stupid " Vali snortts carryingg the blankets

Still that tight set to her jawline. A nod to Jordan. "Please. And be careful."

"I told you he was thinking about it" Jordan points out

Only to find the blankett on his head

"Hey, this has ..glamour?" Jordan says

"Fair Fortune... because if you're going to be foolish, maybe Luck will give you some help" Vali says

"Thank you, Vali," Kerri says seriously.

"thanks... I'll finnd him" Jordan repeats and with the right gear, gallops off

Vali looks to Kerri "Hearth... I'll keep scrying. As SOON as your husband pops out of the Dreaming, I WILL find him"

Kerri watches Jordan go, then gives Vali a tight grin and rests a hand on his shoulder for a moment. "Thank you, Mountain."

"You're welcome. Maybe that cauldron can feed an army while you worry... make plans to fuss at Olgar for scaring us, when he gets back"

A nod, and she points Vali at the grilled cheese sandwiches that are still there, all melty and inviting. "Eat." And with that, she goes back into the kitchen.

"Yes ma'am" And he does
