Yule over, gifts given, Christmas was wonderful..and now the clean up

There may not be a lot of noble trappings at the Lodge...but it's a long tradition (enforced by Olgar) that on Boxing Day, Kerri gets to put her feet up and direct others said clean up.

Brekke is one of those others. She has courageously donned an apron and is washing dishes.

Vali also wears an apron "So THIS is why I got the Mountain job" as he cleans

Dagmar dries!

A chuckle from the Chieftain. "It was our subtle plot."

"Devious" He says

Olgar, of course, pampers his wife, whether she likes it or not

Kerri calls from the main room, "Are they doing a good job in there, Dagmar?"

"I dunno, I see specks"

And accepts a hot cocoa from Olgar.

"Get them in shape, Dame!"

"You heard her! Elbow grease!"

"Someone's getting cheeky" Siv observes as she mops

"Me?" Innocent.

Brekke gives Dagmar an eyebrow, but merely says, "Of course, Dame." She scrubs harder.

There's a risk of the plate snapping in her grip...but she's as careful as she can manage.

"How is it this floor got this dirty on the one day the Hearth ggets off?" Siv says "By Odin, who isn't wiping boots?"

A look at Siv's feet.

"I'm the petite troll" She protests "Tiny feet..relatively"

"It's holiday dirt, Siv." Kerri sips her drink...which just happens to have a healthy helping of Schnapps. "It multiplies on its own."

"I think Brogan is twitching from having an enforced day off" Olgar mentions.

"He earned it, and he needs it," Kerri declares.

"that's because the litle tyrant would get in trouble if he started telling us how we're doing it wrong" Vali sugggets

In the kitchen, Brekke scrubs at a roasting pan...and scowls. "This does not seem to wish to be clean."

"That too," Kerri says at Vali's observation.

"Oh, everyone remember, Jordan gets Sained tomorrow" Olgar says "Told him some of us would show up for his and Lane and tiara's sainninng at the Count's"

He sounds proud. He has really hit it off with Jordan for some reason

"Who's doing the thing? Emmit?"

"Yeah. Count was surprised but granted it" Vali says

"Mom, do you need help?" Siv asks

"Hm. I am surprised the Count did not have more to say."

Brekke offers the scrubbie to Siv. "Do you wish to have a turn against this foe?"

Siv smiles at the wordinng and takes it "With my pan or on it?"

Vali says "The Count migght have made a comment about how his own usual namer didn't BITE"

"Take heart, warrior," Brekke says as she surrenders the scrubbie and takes up the broom instead.

Siv takes the scrubbie. She's not above using magic to transform a stain into a more easily slid off grease spot

"Anyone feed the horses?" Siv asks

""Yes."

A brow at Vali as she sweeps. "Mountain Emmit does not bite."

"I think the Count's point was we could use a sidhe harmlessly" Vali says

Olgar snorts "Let Emmit do it. Guy's got a proven record ...sides Buck will be in on it too no doubt"

A nod of approval to Dagmar.

Foot massage for Kerri

Kerri does NOT object.

A sigh from Brekke. "I have misgivings. Does the Count know of Emmit as the Namer by name?"

"Is it a secret?"

"It...has been a secret whenever a commoner has learned the art."

"He knows it's the namer to the DeBukes"

"Mm." A nod as she chases down a dust bunny. "That is vague enough."
