A blink. "Ah...to keep her away from the conflict."

"Do you think she knows?"

"Dee said there's 'trouble,' but her own bonds kept her from saying more."

"Hm." A frown. "Do you wish me to go with you? Or would that cause more difficulty?"

"I... would that cause an incident with SilverWolf?"

"I mean, me and Connor going is kinda risking one..."

"Yes...." she nods reluctantly. "It may."

"Obviously, they don't want outsiders in their business. But.. Nadeen..." Huff.

"If I hadn't given up that Oath, I could MAKE her come home."

A brow. "I doubt that. More than likely, you would be up there with her, and caught in the middle of whatever this is, and she would make you let her do what she intends."

"She would be, after all, your liege. And when desperate, I think she would be ruthless."

Her shoulders droop.

"I don't think she'll leave."

"Then..." she rests a hand on Dagmar's shoulder "...you must help her to find a way to be victorious over her foe."

"Right." Frown.

Thump thump thump down the stairs in boyish bounds.

They can hear him from outside.

"Dagmar. You will find a way, or you will be there when she needs your support. Both of these are honorable."

Brekke looks to the door.

"And I will do everything I can to protect Connor."

"I have no doubt of it."

And she waits for him to appear.

He pops out with a backpack on, and salutes. He might also have something in his mouth, that he swallows. "Squire Connor, reporting for duty!"

"You get to ride the side-car." A little smile.

GASP!

"I thought it was my turn to drive?" He says, but is clearly bouncing with excitement.

She beckons him over. "Connor, before you go..." She crouches down to speak face-to-face with him.

He reports in front of her. "Yes, Chief?"

Serious. "Whatever trouble is there, it is likely to be upsetting. Be brave. And listen to your Knight. Make it as easy as possible for her to protect you. Understand?"

He opens his mouth, closes it, and just nods instead.

She nods, accepting this. "Now..." she rises. "We need Buddy for a moment, if you would?" She turns away, and nods to Dagmar to do the same.

Dagmar turns, eyes closed.

He looks a bit puzzled - he's used to people NOT wanting him to be 'Buddy'. But he obliges them, and is sitting 'Pretty' with a yip when they turn abck.

She looks around again at the yip. "Thank you. You are going to help me with a cantrip. Please...I need you to run around your Knight, barking as loudly as you can, until I tell you to stop. Can you do this?"

Head tilts to the OTHER side, but.... EXCUSE TO RUN AND BARK!

YIP YARP YIP YARP YARP YARP WOOF WOOF WOOF BORK!

A brow back at Dagmar...and a bit of a grin...before she concentrates, summoning glamour from the motion and the sound.

"Yes, enough! There. Stop, Buddy." And she rests her hands on both their shoulders. "May your bark be stronger than any foe's bite," she says, casting Oakenshield on the two of them.

A quiet grin.

A puppy sneeze at the joke!

A satisfied nod as the unseen armor settles and wraps around the two of them. "Now...go. I will await your return. I expect a full report, Dame."

Tail wags!

"Yes, Chief."

"C'mon, Connor. Gotta go helmet up."

He darts off, and Connor trots back with helmet and doggles... I mean, goggles.

Helmet for Dagmar, too! And soon enough, they are on the road.

Connor waves to the Chief until out of sight, and then he makes vroooooooom noises to keep the motorcycle going, ala Ralph the mouse.

Brekke watches them go, giving Connor a wave. Then she frowns and seeks out Vali.

Soon, Brekke is knocking on the door at Vali and Tiffany's house.
