Kerri is more than a little insulted by this, and her eyes narrow as her shoulders tense. And then...a wolfish grin.

"Now," he starts to to issue hte orders he feels she is bound to obey

"I. Do. Not. Think. So." She takes a step towards the baron. Regardless of his title, he is still a sidhe, and she a troll, and while not the brawniest of that kith, she still stands at least a head taller than this blowhard who has entered Her Domain,

His eyes widen in surprise. They are , if it matters, lovely eyes. Blue on blue.

"This is Rivervale Lodge, and I am Hearth here," she says firmly, taking another step towards him. He has the option of moving back or having her walk directly into him.

He backs , but only a half step

"I consider what you have done an assault, as well as an insult." Another step.

His hand starts to go to his hilt "You are no warrior, I learned THAT as well."

Her eyes widen. "You threaten me? In my own home?" Another step. "You, lord, will Sit Down." And she can't resist...she puts the force of Dictum behind it, even if he outranks her.

It.. shouldn't work, should it? He's a baron, she's a dame... but that's not what Kerri draws from. Home! She draws not from the title of knight, a title she never wanted, but the positon over this house, the position of Hearth!

She points back at Siv. "Release the Dame."

He looks her way, seems to nod

Siv WAS angry but she got to witness this so there's also equal amounts of confusion, she strides towards the Ail err eilu... err Vari... Goth Liam what ever he is... then looks to Kerri "Permission to throw him out, Hearth?"

"Not yet," she says to Siv, then she puts her hands on the arms of the sidhe's chair and leans down so she's speaking directly to his face, likely making him feel even more trapped than by the dictum alone. Her voice takes on a tone of dangerous calm. "You, Lord Vongraff, have violated Right of Desmense, for while I am not Baroness here, I am one of the leaders of this Lodge. Let the Dreaming serve its own consequences upon you for breaking Escheat! As to Squire Brogan, assure your lady that I send my most sincere apologies for the oversight of her invitation. Tell her that she is welcome to come and visit Rivervale...but she must bring a different escort, for you, Lord Vongraff, are denied entry here for a year and a day. She remains leaning over him until she's sure that he acknowleges all that she has said.

"I... " he almost says he undestands, but there is much he doesn't understand. Finally he says "I'll do as you say" As if he had a choice. He rises, for he has orders, and.. inclines his head. Nott a bow but more respect than he's shown "I'll go now"

"Yes. Yes, you will. Escort him, please, Dame Siv."

"Gladly" Siv says eyes no longer dark, but narrow "Come with me 'm'lord'"

AAnd the two leave

Oak charges in late, whatever dictum was onn him undone

He growls annd looks about then.. huffs and snorts

Kerri reassures Oak. "It's okay, it's okay...he's gone, and you did the best you could, I know you did."

She takes a deep breath as the immediate moment passes. "Hoo-boy," she exhales. "That's...going to be an issue."

Oak licks her hand. Whatever is troubling her- he'll be there!

She gives him reward scruffles, and then some reward chicken from the fridge, too.

Mackerel lays down a dead mouse. While the rest of you were screwing around, the cat was getting shit done.

Chicken! gulp wag

"Oh, ah...thank you, Mackerel. Yours if you want it," she says of the mouse.

Mackerel nods, takes it up, and goes to find some of Sylvi's spare shoes to put it in to show she's missed her too

Siv returns , she has questions, world of QUESTIONS

When Siv returns, Kerri is in the midst of mulling over the previous five minutes, whiskey in hand.

"Aunt Kerri?" She asks tilting her head "He's gone... rather subdued.. but he's out of the barony. Are you okay?"

She nods, though she still looks a bit stunned. "I'm sorry about that, Siv. He surprised me, and...I reacted."

"SORRY? you were AWESOME" Siv grins "That bastard had a humbling coming." Then Siv admits "But... I am confused. On.. oh, so manythings"

Kerri gives a furtive grin at the praise. "It was a pretty badass moment, wasn't it? I kind of wish Olgar....well, never mind." She sighs. "What do you want to know?"

"When did you learn Sovereign? How did your sovereign work on on a sidhe baron? Why didn't his work on you? We're both knnights"

Kerri ticks off the answers on her fingers: "I learned from a treasure that's now gone. I'm not sure, but I think it worked on him because I'm a Hearth in my lodge, specifically in the kitchen of the lodge when he tried it...so, my demesne. And it seems the Dreaming recognizes that as equal to any other sovereign in her own territory." A grin at that. "Which I hadn't really considered before. And yes, I'm still a knight, just as you are."

"That's... not annythin I learned at Earth Runes" She admits

"No. They wouldn't have taught you. They're sidhe." She frowns, her brow furrowing in thought. "But I suppose...times are changing...."

"Maybe they didn't know" Siv counters "Maybe things ARE changing so how could they knnow? that vonjerk guy sure looked stunned."

Kerri nods. After a moment, she says, "Siv, where do you feel is absolutely your territory? A place where you have every right to say you're in charge?"

"My ship" She says without missinn a beat "On the Narwhal, I'm captain.. all other ranks can shut their holes." A pause "Beggin your pardon"
