Brekke processes that for a moment, then says, "He is not certain."

"Having never done it before, I don't know how my lies are going to come out" Nolan shrugs and looks to The Hearth "Hostess with the Mostess woman, champion of the decafinated, told me that every pooka lies just a bit to the rhtym of their own gizzard. " He focuses "Light DIDN'T engulf us. Weid visions of a magical place full of Silver Ribbons didn't dance under my eyelids. And I absolutely did not feel better than I have in my whole damn lilfe "

It takes effort, but he tries the opposite speak Dagmar suggested

Kerri gives a little salute at the title he gives her.
The description makes Brekke grin slightly, and she nods. "Good, yes." Then, "You have likely had strange events happen prior to this recently, strange visions?"

Audrey blinks then focuses, her face scrunching under her hat, "No, not really"

"I mean, obviously I caN't talk for Nolan, not even Nolan can talk for Nolan... " She says. Her brother flips her off with a smile but she keeps talking "But... I never even dreamed something quite like this before that I recall" True

"That's unusual." Brow furrow.

"That is unusual. But...not unheard of," she adds, thinking of Jordan.

Brekke and Dagmar likely speak almost simultaneously.

"Don't get me wrong, it's Great" she admits "I feel.. like I'm not afraid anymore, or at least.. I will stand up to anyone"

"THe Hearht tells me Clurachauns like a good fight, and I guess I do. Beats cringing everytime my mother calls me a whore" Audrey says

Oh, that storm is back on Dagmar's face.

"You don't have to go back there."

"Oh, by the way, they're fired" Nolan says "I simply will not work with that man and woman, they drain the energy right out of us. Totally unprofesional" He seems to mean it, not comical looking, bristling at the thought of their parents

"Right?" She looks at Brekke and Kerri to confirm.

At Dagmar's delcaration, he nods ..gratefully

Brekke nods. "You are welcome here for a time, and...." A pause and a measuring look. "What are your ages?"

"Why do you ask?" Audrey replies guardredly

"There are still the concerns of the mortal world, which vary depending on your age. But we will not send you back to your parents," she says firmly.

"I'm 21, if you could get me a beer?" the guy says

Kerri adds, "It's sort of like witness protection, if you've seen that on TV? And if there's a missing persons report, we need to be able to squash it."

Brekke gives him a raised brow.

Audrey frowns, then listens to the hearth "yeah, makes sense" She takes out her wallet and offerrs her ID "Would this help?"

"Yeah, the system can force you back to a bad home. If it's just emotional abuse, CPS doesn't give a shit. And you don't want to be in the system."

Kerri takes the ID. "It should, yes," and she looks it over...but checking for signs of a faked date-of-birth.

Turns out this appears to be the legit one

Which puts their ages at....

Brekke says, "Dame Dagmar, perhaps it would be best if you provide primary guidance for our new fledges as they begin to learn about their new lives."

"Uh..." Blink.

"I... sure?" She doesn't sound sure.

She might not sound sure, but Brekke seems confident as she nods. "Good."

About a month away from turning 17

"Hm, I still ask, where was the last you saw the people that attacked you?" Brekke asks.

"Oh, your birthdays are next month," Kerry says, grinning.

"Nolan one but it's a fake, me I never had the nerve to try to pass one off" Audrey admits then she frowns "About two blocks from the coffee shop we were in, off fourth? It was an alley way. Is it wrong I Hope the oen who got knifed bled out?"

Grunt. Dagmar does not seem to disagree with Audrey's sentiment.

"Hm. I understand the feeling," Brekke answers grimly. She rises, "I should seek them out. They must be dealt with."

Nolan looks over "Birthdays. Gee, time to ask for that unicorn you wanted at age 7, sis"

Audrey rises "Great, let's go, Chieftain" She rolls up her sleeves

Brekke pauses. "You should not go back there, yet."

"You are still fresh from your dream dance. Chimera will be drawn to you, as sharks to blood."

"I'm not scared anymore, I'm angry, and I owe them a beating" She looks stubborn

"I am quite certain you are not scared," Brekke nods. Then she takes her seat again and looks to Kerri. "Hearth, please contact Vali of the location of the incident, have him investigate?"

Vali is easily contacted. And will comply

"Maybe that set you off, and... you set your brother off?"

The Hearth makes it happen.

Brekke nods at Dagmar's words. This seems likely.

"Maybe... " She ponders "Whatever triggered this, I know I'm going to live life the way I want ,and the only obedience i owe is to what's inside of me. "
