"No shit... you know, I think it's a very good thing that Nadeen was fostered at Rivervale. She's.. she could have been a very bad person," A thought "And Sylvi, yeah, she was just glad to see home again ..and was damn brilliant too"

"I think it's possible anyone could be a very bad person, in different circumstances." Frank rumbles.

"And bad people don't have to stay that way" He nods "True , but... Rivervale is good for people to find their better selves"

"I hope so."

"I know so," Zane looks up "Well, if there's no task for me, or studies, I guess I should let you rest up or go about your duties while I go do the fun thing"

"You don't find studying fun?" Zane gets an eyebrow.

"Never... Learningg, that's fun" A smile "Study usuallly is someone someone expect you to do, learning is what you pick up for yourself. It's the same reason we run out of a downpour but dance in a shower: Consent" A grin

Frank thinks about it. "I.... can make that work."

"Oh don' mind me.. I'm just being clever.. I like your lessons. You make me consider things from all sorts of angles"

"May I say, you challenge me in the same ways."

"In good ways?"

"Yes, Zane, all in good ways."

"Thanks, Mountain"

"You're very welcome, Zane." they come to a terminus on the trail.

Zane draws his staff, ready to battle the terminus, until he remembers the proper definition and realizes it's really not something sinister, "I'm glad we're back to the way things were, Sir. I'll see you around"

"I'll see you around, Zane."

And Frank continues his patrol.

Frank finds that a kind of peace has falllen on the land. His wife is more certain of her people's safety, and her relief influences things

Why everyone seems to be relaxing. Basil of the Wayburton clann waves to him as the satyr walks with a mortal girl his age.

Frank nods back.

And there's Vali on patrol.

Another nod.

Vali warns him "Might want to avoid Miss Mcgillicudy.. she's in a 'mood'"

A concerned frown. "What's wrong?"

"She's blaming the 'weirdos'.... that's all of us, for the weather being so hot or off or whatever" Vali observes "Also says theres a THING in her basement but wonn't let me offer to look"

Frank nods. "Thanks for the heads-up."

"No problem" he nods "Oh, Tiffanny and Marggila want to blow stuff up near the lake for the 4th of July"

"I'd clear that with the Chieftess if it were me."

"I will, if you see her before I do let her know please?"

Frank gives Vali a long look.

"I'll warn her."

"Warn is such a ominous word... possibly apt mind you, I'll tell the ladies to wait until they get the offiical okey dokey" A nod "Much obliged" And unless Frank wants to ask him something, he's on his way with his other half of his patrol

Frank does not, and he moves on. His patrol takes him towards Mrs. McGillicudy's.

"humph.. it's an innvasion folks stomping about my property" the sour old woman states , nevermind the sidewalk is for everyone

"Ma'am." Frank nods.

"Hurumph. " She repeats louder

"Someone bothering you, Mrs.?"

"Is something bothering me? You weridos ... the heat waves, coincidence I think NOT... probably the heat that drove that thing in my basement"

"There's a thing in your basement?" with concern.

"Never you mind, you and your weird teen patrol would just trrash the place nosing around!" Mmph!

"What if it was just me, Mrs.?"

"Miss McGilluddy" She hurumphs "And no... you thinkn I don't see how those punks tip their hats to you annd your wife? You're inn league with them"

"I promise you I'm not trying to hurt you. Maybe if I look, I can get the thing out of your basement, leave you in peace?"

She looks at him a LONNG time

He's used to it. He waits, patiently.

"Finne. You have a half hour .I have to get my hair done"

And she grabs her purse and leaves the door unlocked, departing

Frank watches her go, curious.... but then turns his attention to the house, kenning.

There are signs of old pranks, now long done; somehow Miss McGillicudy seems to draw attention to the fae world, ever irrattinng, yet not quite an autumn person. She treats everyone terribly and 'repay all debts' means that the Seelie childins and wilders see her as fair game, withinn reason, but there is no current cantrip on the yard or house that he senses. He may have to on in to check the basement
