"I've got the nname and location of the vampire senior" Zane comes in and blinks at Baron Kelean "Ah.. " he did not expect him

"You two?" The Baron smiles "Do you know what Clan?"

"Uh.. Clan?" the satyr 's brows narrow

"You've been very efficent, Zane, very. Between you, Symon and Siv I am starting to worry you're gunning for my job as spymaster" A stern look, then as the wilder sweats, the grump Scathach smiles "I'm teasing. Good work"

Brekke gives a subdued huff of amusement at Kealan. Then she nods to Zane. "Where is he, the senior?"

"Newark New Jersey, his name is Damion Blackwood, which honestly? sounds like 'evil mc evil'"

"Mm. Newark." A frown. "Outside of Bergen."

"Yes. But not out of reach," The Baron explains "I think we can work with this. You've involved Lupe and her pack yes?"

"Well..." Brekke shifts uncomfortably. "...yes. It does not cause any further breach of ignorance than has already occurred, and they have strengths in this work that we do not."

"I agree. I think we should send the garou after him. They will not expect it, even if they expect fae"

A deep breath. "I have had similar thoughts. But...I do not know if it is right to put them in danger. Lupe seemed eager for such a hunt when she heard vampires were involved, but perhaps her eagerness is not matched by wisdom."

"It is their way, and they owe you," The baron says "Chieftain, I have other plans I can fall on, but therre's a greater chance of changeling death"

"Which I would avoid. And if I understand correctly, while we wish to defend ourselves from a specific threat, the Garou have a larger mission to hunt these very foes. It is their calling, I believe. And...Lupe has outright asked for the task."

"See what Lupe's superiors think then? You have connnections with them . Frankly, the Moon Children make me nervous , lot of a temper in them, but no denyin their power"

She nods. "I should visit the Caern with her to ask this of them. No...to offer this to them." She indicates the name and location.

"I think the onnly downn side ? Lupe may not get the mission and she'll be really annnoyed. Werewolves are as glory seeking as we sidhe"

"Hm. I will recommend her...but I will not contest the wisdom of her elders. That would not be my place."

"What is it with elders thinnking wilders can't do th- " And Zane cups his own mouth realizing he blurted

Baron K turns and looks at Zane, and chuckles, then looks at Brekke "He has the sense to stop himself once he gets going. He's way ahead of me at that age"

"True. But...Zane, I would hear your thoughts."

"Well, I think if Lupe owes you a debt, that's another reason to give her a chance to repay it. More than that, this isn't just glory seeking, Lupe is Dagmar's friend. Maybe they're young werewolves but they're still that. and they have another edge. Before they go, WE can load them up on fair fortunes, oakenshields, and more. "

She nods. "Agreed. But I will not undermine her Caern's leaders or their decisions. Influence, yes, but not undermine. I need them all as allies, Zane, not only Lupe."

"You're right, but permission to buff them up if they get approval?"

She regards him. "I have not worked many cantrips on shifters. If it can be done, and if they are willing, then yes." A frown. "Would it harm them? Or endanger them in ways I do not know?"

"I don't see how.. fair fortune in general and while the garou would be offended to hear it, most prodiggals ...well, if you can zap a mortal you can zap one of them, depeding on banality of course"

Brekke nods. "I would be reluctant to enchant them for such. That would complicate matters. But if they are no more banal than an average mortal, then yes, it can certainly be done. I know that is the case for Lupe, that she is not very banal. I do not know about others."

"I volunteer anyway. I... have my reasons" he nods

A blink. "May I know these reasons?"

"I ...want to help, and I...resently mouthed off ... the Hearth can tell you about it. I want to make amends in part by using my magic wisely and learning behind the scenes is no shame"

He is blushing

"Hm. I think the fact that the Hearth has not mentioned it to me before now tells me that it was not a dire offense." A light hint of humor in her tone. "However, I believe you are well suited to the task -- presuming you yourself can perform the cantrips you suggested before?"

"Yes, Chief"

"Then yes. We should speak with Lupe together. Can you contact her to arrange this?"

"Well, Dagmar can" he nods "And I'll run it by her too."

Brekke considers that. "No, I can contact Lupe. I will let you know when."

Annd zane bows, "Thank you, Chieftainn"

Annd he withdraws, leaving Chief and Baron be
