Frank listens; it's almost more like the boy is reading to him than the other way around. And in English, too!

He has definitely been working on his English

And Frank's beard moves as Holger finishes the story. "What did you think?"

"He was scared, but he stood up for what was right, even when it caused him pain and trial. He did not act happy about this, he even complainned to himself.. but he tried to hold fast and be a good example" A consideration "I would say he was a good hero"

"How do you think he felt about himself as he was going through his trials?"

"Perhaps that he was not ready for this burden, but there was no one else to take them up," He ponders "Maybe he was afraid to tell his friends how much he needed them"

"He felt unprepared and alone?"

"Perhaps" A shrug

"I think maybe when you are being brave, you might not feel very much like a hero. You might feel unprepared, not ready for the burden, or afraid to ask for help and alone. At the time, you understand."

He ponders then says "But later you learn it was not so?"

"Mmm. Sometimes. Sometimes you remember how you felt, and even learning later that was brave doesn't mean you didn't feel those ways at the time."

He nods "It sounds like it is not easy to be a hero even after the heroing is done"

Frank nods. "I think it can be difficult."

"Well, I guess I do not need to be a hero, as long as my charges are safe"

"Heroes have a journey they make, which in turn makes them heroes. A Guardian protects his or her charges. They are different callings, and one is not better or more than the others."

He puts his hand to his chin, perhaps if he grows that beard he will stroke it, but that is a long time off "Gracious , Mountain. You give me much to think on"

Then his stomach rumbles, and he blushes lightly

"I think Hearth Kerri has set some food out in the kitchen. Go and help yourself before you return to Fenix. May I ask you to take a note to the Countess? The big one."

"Certainly...!"

"And.. gracias , El Montana . I apologize for my belly being so willful"

"Man's gotta eat, Holger."

"This" he ponders "Is true. Would you like me to get you some food as well, Senoir?"

"No, thank you. I'll eat with the rest, later. You go on and get something, I'll write the note."

He salutes and goes to get that food

And turn the food he brought for others. Banana sandwiches and chocolate mlik cartons

Frank has dashed off a quick note, and sealed it. "Did you want to go out and meet the centaurs?"

"Si, I think I would" He says after thinking it over

Frank hands him the note to put away and leads the way to the centaurs.

And off they go..
