Siv comes in with the supplies and sets them down out of childling reach

Fortunately, her mother is home, and comes downstairs as Siv is sorting things out. "What is this?"

"Things from Leech's place we left behind..."

She has a few scrolls in hand as she comes down the stairs.

In the box, there's a sword of blue tingged steel, a leather neckalce with turquoise, a collar with an incription

Brekke's gives her a sharp look as she sets down the scrolls. "Did you encounter trouble?"

And the she sees the treasures themselves. "Oh...." An actual smile. "This is very good."

"Piper annd I wore false faces... "She says "Mom, Varich were raiding tthe place. We might have stolen it back from them"

"If so, it is good that you did. I know the proper owners of at least two of these."

"It IS the Centaurs? Oh ggrand. You see it was Piper who said something made me realize I needed to go check. Then she wanted to come along. Mom, she sang guard dogs to sleep"

"Very clever use of her gift," Brekke says approvingly.

She gives the collar a closer look.

Definitely looks like a cat collar, the tag reads 'In kitty corporay, transmeow'

But the size seems to adjust easily

"Hm." She sets it back down. "I am not sure about that one. Have you learned anything about it?"

"It kenns funny" She admits "I don't quite trust it mom. Not sure why, more a feeling"

"The inscription has a pooka feel," Brekke agrees. "To me, at any rate. None of the centaurs mentioned anything like this."

"Oh, there's also this book ..."

She considers it another moment, then picks it up again and murmurs to it, "Pussycat, pussycat, where have you been?"

She nods to Siv's comment, but focuses on the Willow Whisper.

The collar flickers ready to answer

"What is your power?"

"Hmm. Who was your owner before you came into Leech's possession?"

Siv snerks

Brekke colors and clears her throat. She looks to Siv. "I have no other questions, but perhaps you do."

"What happens to the mortal after when the collar is removed?"

A bit of concern as she thinks on it

Brekke nods and asks, "What becomes of the mortal after you are removed?"

"Memories... are gone in the moonligght... they remember nooothing... .but might cough up hair" it whisper sings

Brekke frowns. "That is not good."

A look to Siv. "Your instinct seems right."

"It's prone to abuse " Siv shakes her head "Damn shame. Guessi t's like one of those Chimera you hear about that can psoses folks, only it's an item. Still, guess the fact they forget their time as a cat girl means that the right of ignorance is safe"

"Yes. But...well...it is not how I would wish to see a mortal treated, I think."

"No, it imposes one dream on a dreamer, and might be a violation of the right to dream I suppose. Regardless, it feels wrong" She says "At least on an innocent mortal. As a punishment? Maybe, but evenn then, dangerous precedent

"Mm." She nods. "Which brings us to the question of what to do with it."

"I think this is where Vali would point out that's why they pay you the big bucks. Me, being a dutiful daughter, wouldn't think of such sass" Oh one need nnot be a Gwydion for that last one to ding

A dubious eyebrow.

And then she nods. "Yes, I will put some thought to this. And keep it well away in the meantime."

"Siv, it is good that you are here. Do you have the time to run some simple errands, to deliver these," she indicates the scrolls. "If not, I can find an alternative."

"I'll do it sure" she offers "I will be gone tomorrow. Going to meet Piper's folks"

"Ah! That is...good." A bit awkward. "I hope you will bid them well from us."

"I will, bit nervous. HOpe I impress her moms .. but for Piper's sake I'll look confidennt and supportive. Wish me luck?" She grabs the scrolls

"Siv," Brekke says, resting a hand on her shoulder. "Do not try to impress them. Simply be Siv. Siv is very impressive."

A smile breaks out "Thank you mom. Love you. Oh I best deliver these. I know you're busy but.. thanks"

"I love you as well. Thank you for doing this. Safe journeys."

"Always welcome" Long gone is the girl who would fuss about chores or tasks. No, she's learned duty well, just a late bloomer

And she is gone herself, off to the task
